04.01.2022 Lets just get it out there! It is illegal to have a consistently barking dog. Your responsibilities as a dog owner include training and disposal of your dogs feaces! These are just two, you do have more. If you own a barking dog, or worse a few dogs, and they are consistently barking, you are:... Too lazy to train your dog. Selfish, no concern for affect on your neighbourhood. Arrogant, you believe you have the right to do as you like. A bad neighbour, your neighbours silently wish you would leave so they may live a peaceful life that they are entitled to. If you are one of these irresponsible people, please think of becoming a responsible owner and a good neighbour by taking care of your responsibilities and legal responsibilities. Dogs that are walked twice a day, as they require, are less likely to bark. Dogs that attend dog schools, are socialised and regularly exercised are much less likely to bark. Ive owned dogs, in Lara, for over 50 years and never had a nuisance dog. My neighbours loved them because if they did bark, my neighbours would be on the lookout for something wrong because they only barked as an alarm. Not just when people are passing by. Be a responsible owner, be a good neighbour and not one that is negativity affecting your community. Train your dogs and pick up the poop!! If you need help, seek out a professional dog trainer.
