24.01.2022 Winner of the Largest Dog we’ve ever had stay goes to Peppa the Rhodesian Ridgeback. I didn’t know if I should be using a lead or put a saddle on her and ride her to the park!! She might be HUUUGE but she still thinks she’s a lap dog a gentle giant for sure!! And loved playing with the other smaller dogs at the dog park

20.01.2022 With balls, it’s definitely a case of you get what you pay for!! Cheap balls and thin and can be easily torn up. Apart from being dangerous choking hazards it’s a painful mess to clean up the bits. Quality tennis balls last much longer.

16.01.2022 The photo on the left I took on Saturday of Wendell a cutey pie shih tzu who was staying with us for the long weekend. The photo on the right was sent to me by Wendell’s mum taken today showing off his summer haircut. I can’t believe it’s the same dog!! Still super cute. Hope the weather warms up for you Wendell.

11.01.2022 The last of our long weekend doggy vacationers has gone home and now we prepare for our own family holiday!! This overseas holiday has been funded by you trusting us with having your beloved fur babies coming to stay while you were away. So to you all - we say a huge thank you for your support!! . Our own fur baby family will be in good hands while we are away with Ann our housesitter who is also a dog trainer . We’re be home again from 16 April and open for bookings from then.

10.01.2022 Last week we had the adorably cute Bruce (JRT) and Luna (Dachshund) staying with us in the incredibly hot weather. But we knew what to do. Take a dip in the pool to cool off, lounge around on the couches in the aircon and go for a park run once the sun goes down. #DogsLife

We love to share with you photos of your dog enjoying his/her time with us and we’ll send these through to you privately while you’re away. We wait till you’re all home again before sharing photos on our Doggy Vacay page. So if you see photos of a dog you know - they’re probably already gone home before you’re seeing them here.

04.01.2022 Last night was the first night in 5 weeks we had no guest dogs staying with us. It felt soooo weird!! Short lived - another guest arriving today Here’s some sample photos of all the dogs we’ve enjoyed having come to stay. Some big, some little, some young, some getting on in years, some short stays, others longer stays, some repeat visitors, others staying for first time. All very welcome to come stay again!! 04.01.2022 Jake stayed with us last weekend. For his first stay he stayed with my offsider Christine in Charlotte St but this time it was our privilege to care for Jake. What a sweet old fella he is. Enjoying cooling his tumtum on the cool floorboards with the breeze blowing in through back door. He’s got it all sussed!!

03.01.2022 Every so often dogs staying with us are treated with a bone (on us!!). We’ve never found a dog who didn’t love gnawing on a meaty bone to while away the daylight hours. after all - this is their doggy vacation and vacations are all about living it up!! the bones we choose are appropriate for the size of the dog and without much fat. All dogs are separated to enjoy their bone in their own secure space so that no trouble is caused amongst the group. All bone remnants are collected up afterwards and disposed of.
