25.01.2022 Just a reminder as we head into the New Year. We all get a dog to fill our own emotional needs, importantly we must also understand that it is our responsibility to also meet the needs of our dogs, physical, emotional, health, and total well-being. We can learn from our dogs how to be a better human being <3

25.01.2022 Using some of your dog's daily kibble intake, treats, etc. is an excellent way of giving enrichment to a dog's day. When fed in a bowl it has gone in seconds and then what has the dog got to do for the rest of the day? I use part of my dogs' biscuit allowance with a few bits of dried liver treats in a variety of treat dispenser toys which they get at lunchtime if I am around. ] As we come into summer we need to provide mental stimulation that will keep our dogs calm and tired over too much activity that may bring on heatstroke. If I have an injured dog, or I have to crate a young dog/puppy I am going to give them all of their dry food at intervals throughout the day in a variety of feeders to cut the boredom of confinement.

25.01.2022 How is COVID 19 Quarantine affecting our pets?

25.01.2022 This is Sproggy, he was such a delight to work in finding odor. Sadly I lost him at 5 years of age to IAPA and I miss the little lad. Sproggy had loads of drive and would never give up on a search. It is interesting to note how the odor had actually traveled down the wall toward the table. These are the aspect of scent work that handlers need to learn in both tracking and scent work, things like draught, objects, wind direction if outside, hills or flat, trees, and shrubs all alter the path that scent/odor can and will travel.

16.01.2022 Having a practice of Send Aways with my dog Baja.

12.01.2022 Would love to see all vets take the time to treat young pups like this, what a great start to veterinary care.

11.01.2022 I just love the Budweiser Clydesdales and the adverts, such awesome horses and very cleaver training.

08.01.2022 Rate the cuteness :-)

08.01.2022 Harnesses don't stop pulling, training dogs to walk politely does. Dogs need to be taught how to walk on a loose lead regardless of using a collar, harness, or Halti. Gadgets don't fix problems they may aid in training providing the one at the top end of the lead knows how to train and how to use the gadget of choice correctly. There are no quick fixes only commitment and consistency in how we walk our dogs.

08.01.2022 The loyalty of dogs <3

03.01.2022 Don't underestimate your dog...

02.01.2022 Training dogs to use their nose to find hidden objects, toys or odour can be very stimulating and therapeutic for our canine friends. It is fun to watch them searching and developing skills. A short 10 to 15-minute search will have most dogs snooze for ages afterwards. It is easy to set up and can be done inside or outside. Here at Dog Logics, I will be offering this fun sport in 2021 so watch this page and add a comment of interest.
