23.01.2022 We hope that you and your families are well and looking after yourselves during these extraordinary times and our thoughts in particular are with the many Victorians that continue to face significant daily challenges during Stage 4 lockdowns. The global event industry has been crippled as a result of the Government restrictions being imposed due to COVID-19. Whilst other states in Australia have started to re-open, the current outbreak in Victoria has hit Melbourne based even...ts the hardest. It is therefore with great sadness to let you know that the Royal Exhibition Building has advised us that they will not permit our Melbourne Dog Lovers Show to be staged this November as their venue will be closed for major festivals like ours. With no clear certainty around whether large scale events will be able to return in Victoria this year and with the venue closed, we have no other choice but to reschedule the 2020 Melbourne Dog Lovers Show to next year with the new dates being from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 October, 2021. On a positive note we are excited to have secured a late October weekend, as it’s ideal timing with warmer weather to support our extensive outdoor attractions. We also do not compete with public or school holidays, the AFL, Spring Racing Carnival or any other major events in Melbourne on this weekend. We hope you can get behind our Melbourne Show when it returns next year as it can’t happen without the support of passionate Dog lovers like our awesome Facebook followers. We are also truly grateful for the messages of support and understanding over the last few months as it’s been a challenging time for our business, so a big thanks from our entire team.
