22.01.2022 Our team at Dogtopia Retreat would like to help the people of Townsville who have been affected by these devastating floods. We will be doing a variety of thin...gs over the coming weeks but would like to kick off next week by being a collection point for people to drop off cat and dog supplies so that we can put together hampers for these families and their pets. Suggestions on items would include:- Dog and Cat beds, bowls, toys, parasite prevention, leads, collars, scratching posts etc. if anyone would like your Dog to have a complimentary hydro bath, we will have some team members at Dogtopia between 10am-1pm this Sunday 10th Feb, bring a towel if you have one but if not that’s okay . 19.01.2022 Puppy Farming needs to end!!! Please share, it will only take 2 seconds but if it stops just one person from buying a puppy from a puppy farm then it's worth it. DO NOT buy from pet shops and DO NOT buy puppies when you can't see mum and dad!! Or better still...RESCUE!

19.01.2022 To all my lovely clients and friends, I hope everyone has come through the flooding safely and that your beloved fur babies are also safe and well, although i know that many of you are probably in evac centres right now . My golden boy Bryson is still a little traumatised from Sunday night but we were lucky in the end and having just gotten power back, are looking forward to getting back to normal as soon as possible. The yard is still a bit flooded so Bryson is getting some much needed exercise at Dogtopia today! Please take care everyone, the river is still across the road in many areas. I wish all those affected a speedy recovery.

18.01.2022 We’ve lined up Grungle (Bull Terror) and Kruiza (Boxer) to head north and help out with the cleanup.... both are protesting strongly about not being able to do ...anything due to a lack of opposable thumbs but we’ve told them a good attitude will go a long way.... All we ask is they get fed and watered daily, a pat wouldn’t go astray and we apologise in advance for Grungle’s fetish with BBQ charcoal and destroying double pluggas

17.01.2022 HERO We would like you to meet Hera! Hera is one of our regular blood donors. She is the most beautiful gentle giant you will ever meet.... We have had a influx of hookworm burden puppies. Hookworm causes dogs to become anemic and they sometimes require a blood transfusion. Signs of hookworm are pale white gums, lethargy, not eating and dark faeces. This is a timely reminder to worm your pets young and old. Please contact your vet on how often you need to worm your animals. We are always looking for more dog and cat blood donors. This year has not been without it's challenges, but despite Dogs About Townsville and Meg and Moggy taking a bit of a tumble, I have created a new business, Awen Skin Care, my own line of PETA approved cruelty-free vegan products which will be launching very soon! I have not left the pups out though and I have included a dog shampoo ($25) and a conditioning and deodorizing spritzing spray ($20) both available now! 08.01.2022 Hi guys! So the borders are finally opening with Tassie and as such, I will be heading down to visit the fam over Xmas this year for the first time in a very long time. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. I highly recommend Home and Happy Pets or The Fur Mum if you're in need of a sitter over the holiday period this year. I will be gone from Dec 17th to 31st. Xx

It is with great disappointment and sadness that I must announce that due to the situation with COVID-19 and it's subsequent affect on the pet sitting industry, I have had to seek full time employment and am therefore unable to take on any new clients. I will remain available to my current clients, but unfortunately it will be in a slightly limited capacity as I will not be able to do any appointments before 4pm on weekdays. 07.01.2022 Dog lovers of Townsville... ***Urgently seeking someone with a big heart (and hopefully a big yard!) to take in these 2 precious beauties for a few weeks to help out their human.*** They're both microchipped, vaccinated and registered and will have their kennels, bedding, toys and food provided. Plus, she is willing to come around daily and feed them herself, they really just require a yard. They really need a place to stay while the in-laws are visiting as their dogs are larger and have attacked them in the past. ***Please message me if you feel you can help***
