Time to stock on the animal icey poles, frozen water bottles etc. Like humans the young and the elderly animals are prone to getting very knocked around by the heat. They must have access to deep cool shade, copious clean cool water, shell pools etc. And if at all possible access to airconditioned areas. Only walk dogs in the early morning or after sunset. If you’re close to bushland do Review the fire plan as well. Keep them, and yourselves, safe!!

20.01.2022 The hot weather is rolling in this week folks! Time to make a few of those fabulous DOGGY ICEY POLES: In an ice cream container dissolve a flat tspn low salt chicken or beef stock powder. Throw in a handful of treats, a little dried food, apple slices, strawberries or small slices of banana, if your dog enjoys a fruity treat (but remember NO grapes!) Freeze overnight and turn out on the lawn in the shade. Many dogs find this an irresistible treat on a hot afternoon. Feel free to post any pics of your creations!
