06.01.2022 How to in-clinic modify: Medial Arch Pad Full video link at: https://youtu.be/ibbcj5-xQPg The modification of an orthotic shell with an addition of a medial arch pad, to support the medial longitudinal arch.... Indications: -Support the Medial arch -Improve orthotic comfort and tolerance -Pes cavus or high arch / supinated foot -Increase arch height / contour -Alter arch high point position -Increase medial ORF ( in normal or lateral STJ axis orientation) Instructions: 1) Mark anatomical landmarks: medial tubercle calcaneus and 1st metatarsal head 2) Select the required Poron arch pad size and height 3) Place the arch pad on the dorsal surface of the orthotic shell under the medial arch 4) Assess effect of addition on symptoms or function NOTE: use strapping tape or hypafix for patient to adjust location of pad in treatment directed testing Alternative Modifications: -Rearfoot varus post -Inversion ramp
