25.01.2022 Evening all...so at this stage we are so grateful that we are still able to remain open however, sadly with covid 19 numbers rising it is a question of "for how much longer"...but for now we are still open for "takeaway" business as usual so hopefully we will see a few familiar faces over the weekend...once again thank you all so much for your ongoing support #supportlocal #bestcoffeeinkilsyth

16.01.2022 Anyone that knows me will know that i love thai food however since this corona virus lockdown i have been really apprehensive about ordering any form of takeaway...so tonight i am sharing my EASY "thai beef massaman curry" dinner recipe which literally takes 20 minutes to prepare and cook and it costs peanuts compared to getting Thai delivered...and it feeds 2 comfortably with a generous leftover meal: 1 x scotch fillet steak 3 x sprigs spring onion Squeeze garlic paste... 2 x small potatoes diced small 1 x medium carrot diced small Half cup frozen peas 1 x pkt spice tailor massamam curry 1 x small tin coconut milk (optional,) Generous drizzle of olive oil RICE (absorption method): 1x cup rice 3 x chicken stock cubes 2 x cups water Generous drizzle olive oil Drizzle oil into hot pan and add rice and stock cubes and stir on high heat for a minute or so...add water, stir and place lid on and bring to boil...turn down heat to very low keeping lid on and stirring every 5 or so minutes until absorbed and rice cooked (takes about 20 minutes). Heat pan on high and drizzle oil... add potato, carrot, onion, garlic then add first pouch of Thai pkt (chop up chilli if you want more heat)...stir constantly for about 5 minutes...add meat and brown and cook for another 5 mins...stir in second part of Thai sauce package until all mixed then add third part of package and add extra coconut milk if needed and add peas...simmer for 10 mins or so.
