19.01.2022 An update on the current market downturn The current world economic environment including Corona Virus, media hype and the oil issues between Russia and Iran have caused a lack of confidence in the world economy over the last couple of weeks. As we have seen recently, this has caused and may continue to cause a large downturn in stock markets around the world. Unfortunately this has effected most of us in one way or another. The one saving grace for most is that the market...s had a great year prior to this happening and in a lot of cases some people have still at this stage received a positive return over a rolling 12 months, albeit small. The outlook for the markets and economy by most economists varies, but all point to a rebound of the market over the next 3 to 6 months (maybe up to 12 months). Thus the current recommendation is to remain in your current investments and to ride this out. To make changes now will crystalize your losses and most probably miss some or all of the upturn in the markets, thus making the net effect of this situation worse. Farewell to our mortgage broker Robert Bologna Just a quick update to let you know that Robert Bologna, our mortgage broker has decided to move back up to sunny Queensland. Rob has been looking after our loans for the last 2 years and we thank him for his help over that time. At this time, until we are able to find a replacement, we will be a little short staffed in our loans department, so please bear with us if we are a little slower in processing your requests.
