25.01.2022 On Sunday I was lucky enough to attend the LASH VISION METAMORPHOSIS in Hobart. It was so great to network with other Lash Artist in Tassie and learn from two talented and super knowledgeable ladies in the industry. Believe it or not, the Lash/Beauty industry is completely unregulated @registeredlashartist is working hard to raise awareness and educate Lash Stylists and Lash clients on healthy and safe practices. Each fan is tailored to every client and what is suitable for their natural lash to hold. This is why a lash session is so envolved and takes time

15.01.2022 RUSSIAN VOLUME. This is a little insight photo to give you an idea of what I’m looking at when I’m carefully applying your lash extensions. Each Russian Volume fan is hand made by me whilst I’m lashing you. Each natural lash must be isolated before the extension is ‘piggy backed’ on top of your natural lash. Take note that the the extension is applied 1-2 millimeters away from the natural lash line as the adhesive and extension should never be touching the skin. The tape on ...the eyelid is to gently pull the lid up to reveal the lash line and allow me to apply the extension as close to the lash line as possible. If I apply tape to your lid, no it doesn’t mean you have saggy eyelids, some people eyes are naturally more hooded than others and it just makes my job easier. This year I’m focusing on extended education for my self but also making sure I’m educating my clients on Lash Extensions so you get the most out of your precious investment. See more

11.01.2022 Dearest Lash Lovers, It’s been a minute, how are you all? How’s ISO been treating you? I sincerely hope you’re using this crazy time in a positive way. Learning a new skill, trade, spending more time with family or spending some time on yourself.... As most of you would be aware, I had to shut the doors to my little shop as of midnight on the 23rd of March 2020. I had the mentality of a captain going down with her ship, which I’m satisfied I did. Doll Haus Beauty has been my love child for the last 3 years. From humble beginnings, operating out of the spare room in my house to taking on a tiny shop front to then expanding into a larger space. As glamorous as the shiny exterior of owning your own business looks, it hasn’t been an easy venture but I wouldn’t change a thing, none of which would have been possible with out YOU!!! From the bottom of my heart I thank you. Thank you to my ‘ride or die lash addicts’ that I got to see every 2-3 weeks, to my ‘treat yoself’ lash lovers, to my ‘special occasions’ ladies and to my ‘one off’ gals. Each and every one of you have been an integral part to the success of Doll Haus Beauty. I’ve been overwhelmed with the messages of love and encouragement, it means so much. I have so many clients that I can call friends, for that I’m so grateful. You know who you are After so many conversations, back and forth thoughts, tears, wines and laughs, I’ve decided to shut the doors of Doll Haus Beauty indefinitely. I haven’t made this decision lightly, but in light of the current global circumstances, it’s no longer sustainable for me to hang on. I’m currently caring for my mum after she had major surgery 10 days ago, she’s keeping me busy, and yes she recovering really well thank you When I have more time on my hands I’d like to create a YouTube channel regarding ‘easy’ home beauty and self care treatments and tutorials for you to follow at home. It would break my heart to see you all come out of ISO looking like you’ve been living in a cave. I’ll give you just a few reasons... .If you’ve had your lashes damaged by a lash tech with lack of experience and knowledge then it’s more than likely that you will not be able to sustain having extensions for very long with your natural lashes weakening and breaking. .You want longer fuller extensions applied but I only practice safe lengths for your natural lashes and will not apply looooong extensions if your natural lashes won’t hold them. .And finally, retention. If you have healthy strong natural lashes, extensions have a much higher chance of hanging in there for longer and not growing out and becoming too heavy for your natural lash to handle. So basically, if you’d like to have lush full, long (or both) Extensions then you need to have lush, full natural lashes to sustain and support the extensions. 07.01.2022 I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year surrounded by friends and family. To all of my new and existing clients, I thank you for your amazing support in 2019 and can’t wait to see you in 2020! I’m back in the salon ‘officially’ on Wednesday 8th of January and it’ll be business as usual. No matter how hard I’ve tried to avoid this post the time has come to reassure you and make sure precautions are in place to assure the health and safety of you and I. Firstly I don’t condone dooms day prepping or taking more than we need, I have no time for conspiracies or panic and fear, but ...rather coming together as a collective, sticking to facts and letting common sense prevail. The Beauty industry is close contact by nature and I sincerely appreciate my loyal clientele who are continuing to support my small business at this time. I am putting measures in place to make sure you are safe and comfortable whilst at your appointment with Doll Haus Beauty. I only ask a few things in return; * Please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled over seas in the last 14 days. * Please reschedule your appointment if you are feeling unwell and are displaying signs of COVID-19. * Please don’t take my hand sanitiser or toilet paper, but definitely use it while you’re here. 05.01.2022 LASH CLEANSING YES!! The answer is yes!! If you are going to make the commitment and investment in eyelash extensions, you will need to add lash cleansing into your daily routine. It may come to a shock to a lot of people but our eyelashes play a role in keeping dirt, debris and unwanted guests out of our eyes. Our lashes collect residual natural oil from our skin, dead skin cells, makeup and what ever pollution we may have come across that day. It is important for not onl...y eye health and hygiene but for the longevity and retention keeping those precious extensions as long as we can. A natural lash cycle will not allow your extensions to last months, as they naturally shed regularly and a new healthy lash replaces the fallen comrade, unfortunately the lash extension accompanying said comrade. You wouldn’t go weeks on end with out washing your hair extensions? Ew. The same applies to eyelash extensions. As much as we shudder at the thought of bugs living on us 24/7, facts are it’s true! We have microscopic ‘mites’ all over our bodies, that play a vital role in the healthy balance of many places in and on our bodies. Many of you would have seen the ‘lash mite’ pictures circulating from time to time, it’s very uncomfortable to look at and makes a lot of people fear that happening to them. Those little microscopic mites are always there, it’s only when they are over fed ( by being supplied with a banquet of dead skin cells and sebum ) they multiply rapidly and over populate grossly. If your extensions are full of debris, these mites will quickly overpopulate and eventually start to also drain the nutrients from your lashes, brow hair and skin leaving you itchy, irritated and uncomfortable. This can all be avoided by simply adding a lash cleanse into your beauty routine. In the video you can clearly see that I’m applying quite a bit of pressure to move along and lashes that are close to shedding but there’s no reason why you can’t get in the and gently clean to the base of your lashes to dislodge any grim.
