23.01.2022 This conference was about to be cancelled because of the corona virus problem, and then there was going to be half the delegates didnt want to come. So they were thinking, what are we going to do? Should we not do video, should we not have the conference. But we talked about it and we decided to do live streaming so that the people that decided not to come or couldnt come, could still benefit from the conference. ***Now people are no longer allowed to congregate in g...roups. This doesnt matter as we can Live Stream to ALL the delegates wherever they are.*** Then we also talked about monetising the recorded video version. They are selling the videos post the event and making money on the videos. 23.01.2022 This weeks project is a ripper :-) We are switching & recording Susannah Mirana s band doing their Moulin Roque songs with Paul Najar at his impressive Jaminajar recording studio in Narrabeen. The studio has 3 separate spaces for distancing the members of the band and recording the track. We have 5 cameras to cover them all and Joe Ward is switching the as live recordings. Will let yall know when theyre ready for public release

19.01.2022 There is a process and we can all move through it. We just need to communicate with each other, collaborate. Because people used to talk about collaboration before this virus happened and I havent heard that word so much lately and I think its because people assume that because you cant be with each other, you cant collaborate. But I dont see that as a problem. Its just a matter of communication, talking to each other, bringing in other people maybe. What do you think? What do you think? I dont know. Lets talk about it. Just open it up, have a conversation about it and lets get creative and find new ways of doing things. So give us call and lets see what happens. 11.01.2022 "Hello there everyone. Its Dominic here from domflanagan.com. I just wanted to make a quick video about making videos without breaking the social distancing rules. We all know what they are now so I can still come to someones premises and set up the camera, film you, so long as were more than four square meters away, so 5 or 10 meters even. And we can set up a microphone so that we call it a boom microphone like Ive got set up here so that you dont have to touch anything. You just walk up, stand under the microphone and we start filming. And then when your piece is done, we can pack up and go home."

Im just kicking back, Im reading my book, Practicing the Power of Now, which is a book that I bought after I bought Eckhart Tolles classic, The Power of Now which Ive found phenomenal, changed my life. But this book is actually called practicing it. So its just an abridged version and it gives you little reminders of how to get back to the present moment and little techniques about meditation and things like that. I think in these difficult times now were all at home as you can see. Im as well working, working away here, but Ive taken some time out and I can highly recommend it just to give yourself a little bit of a break, a circuit breaker from the anxiety and tension and up to fear of the times were in.

06.01.2022 This was a fantastic project with Susannah and her band. As the producer and DoP I teamed up with Joe Ward and his Live Edit kit. Originally we were going to Live Stream this as an event. But as the Corona restrictions began to ease we decided to go with it and cut it as live, but also use it as a recording session. Two Birds, One Stone We produced 5 songs that will be release in the next five weeks. This was a challenging period for everyone. We all just wanted to work and the performers perform. I think they have done rather well

02.01.2022 Keep it Simple - Life and Work When I go on set I like to have a happy set because at the end of the day its our life. I dont know what percentage of life work makes up for different people. It could be 90% could be 50% but we might as well be enjoying ourselves and why be stressed and disorganised when were working because no-one enjoys it? The best thing, the most enjoyable thing I get at the end of the day shoot, or when I hand over a product to a client is when they say, "Wow, gee that was easy". And I say to them, "Well, yeah, thats how its supposed to be". Thats the goal anyway
