12.01.2022 Hi Everyone, This Sunday, August 2nd, we will be raising funds for someone pretty close to a few team members in our store. Jacob (AKA Thacka) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma (blood cancer) earlier in 2020 at only 19 years old. He has recently finished a gruelling regime of chemotherapy and now faces a 6 week wait to see if he has beaten the cancer. ... He has been unable to work since January 2020 and will need a few more months yet to regain health as the chemotherapy has taken its toll on his body. To not have to stress about paying day to day bills gives him some independence and freedom to concentrate on his recovery and would mean less worry for the whole family. We can not imagine having to deal with such a life event at only 19, and want to help Thacka through this ordeal. As a community, lets rally together and raise some dough

04.01.2022 $1 DONATED FOR EVERY PIZZA SOLD WEDNESDAY 27th 9:30AM-11PM Lets raise some dough for Mark and his family ... Marks story: What started as feeling very lethargic with a slight cough, rapidly turned into something life threatening. Mark felt run down over the Christmas and New year break, so he went with his wife to her doctors appointment, where a routine blood test was ordered for him. That same day the pathologist called Mark and told him to head straight to the hospital. Which he did, he went to the Redcliffe Hospital, following a few tests, he was sent directly to the Royal Brisbane Hospital. The following day he was formally diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). There are a lot of variations of leukemia and unfortunately the one he has is rare in adults, which makes treatment a little more complex. His chemotherapy treatments started 3 days following diagnoses, and they expect he will have to remain in hospital for at least a month to start with. He will then require ongoing admittances to hospital for Chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant and frequent tests. They expect he will be off work for at least 12 months. Sarah and Mark live 35km from the hospital, so, about a 40-minute trip each way depending on traffic. Whilst Sarah continues to care for their two children at home, Deakin 8 and Kalina 4, she is also travelling in to see Mark every day. She too has had to take some time off work. Mark is a hard-working family man and they are a fiercely independent family, who have worked hard every day for everything they have. No one expects or wants to ask for financial help, but they will need it during this trying time. Even with insurance cover, there are waiting periods and additional travel expenses and costs involved in this fight. Funds raised will help with bills, parking / travel and general family running costs.

04.01.2022 At Dominos we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our staff and our customers during these tough times. Is it safe to order? Of course it is! All of our food is cooked over 250 degrees. This process kills any bacteria. ... Our santising procedures occur every hour. We clean and sanitise benches, counters, handles, phones, eftpos machines, utensils and equipment. All of our deliveries are now 100% non contact. We place your order in a safe place and call you to let you know we have placed the order outside. The driver then stands 2 metres back so you are able to pay/collect your food - even cash is still a non-contact transaction. We only allow 2 customers in our foyer at a time, and have marked out appropriate distances for you to stand to also ensure the safety of our team members. Pick up orders are also non-contact. A customer screen and PA system has been installed so all customers waiting outside can still see the progress of their orders. Weve also marked out social distancing points out there too. All menus etc have been removed from the store to ensure that we remove touch points in the store. To help you, weve placed QR codes on the counter you are able to scan to see our range. We only allow 20 employees in the store at a time to ensure that they can all abide by social distancing when working.
