14.01.2022 Buloke Shire has recieved a complaint about the Donald Whole of Town Garage Sale. Acting on advice from DHHS in regard to Covid 19 Restrictions, the Shire has asked Donald 2000 not to hold the Whole of Town Garage Sale on the 11th of October 2020. Donald 2000 apologies to those that had indicated their involvement, however we would not wish to expose residents to the potential of incurring a significant fine for breaching Covid 19 protocols.

08.01.2022 REQUEST TO STOP HARVEST THIS AFTERNOON CFA District 18, Acting Assistant Chief Fire Officer (ACFO) Rob McNally has asked farmers in the Mildura, Buloke and Swa...n Hill Shire areas and the Northern part of Yarriambiack Shire to refrain from harvesting between 1pm and 7pm today 27/11/20 and Saturday 28/11/20. He said today and Saturday would see fire danger ratings of very high and severe across these areas and harvesting in these conditions would bring with it a risk of damage to headers and crops. "We've had a number of fires started from headers during harvest, and a number of haystack fires," he said. "Tomorrow is going to be just as hot if not hotter, but we've got a cool change coming through with a south westerly, which will increase our fire risk. "We also ask that farmers refrain from conducting harvesting work between 1pm and 7pm on Saturday and monitor your haystack temperatures. If a fire starts, the wind will change the direction of the fire. Cooperation from our farmers in the District to help prevent fires is greatly appreciated.
07.01.2022 Round the family up, Santa is coming to Donald!! Photo's with Santa is happening on Friday December 4th, in Woods Street (next to Commonwealth Bank) from 5pm... - 7pm Thanks to Brenden Murphy at 1 mile 2 go Photography who will be taking the photos on the night. Remember that 4th December is late night shopping in Donald so great opportunity to tick off some items on your Christmas lists and support the local businesses. Also don't forget, any purchases made in participating business means you can go in the draw to win with the Donald Chamber of Commerce Christmas Promotion. Also as Covid is still hanging around we need to remember the following dot points when attending the visit with Santa: Each attendee is asked to do a symptom self-assessment prior to leaving home and not attend if they are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine. Attendees must maintain at least 1.5m physical distance between those from other groups at all times. Requirements for face covering, observe cough etiquette and personal hygiene measures. 06.01.2022 Swimming pool season in Buloke is set to start this Saturday 14 November, and our staff have been working hard behind the scenes to get all of our pools in top ...shape for the community to enjoy. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our community will notice a few changes this year. To keep our community safe while enjoying our pools, we ask all pool attendees to observe the following guidelines: Maintain 1.5 metres social distancing both in the pool and outside the pool. Regularly wash and sanitise your hands while using the facility, and sanitise hands upon entering the facility. A fitted face mask is required by all patrons over the age of 12 years, and should be worn at all times when not in the water. In line with outdoor gatherings, up to groups of 10 people can gather outdoors surrounding the pool, however groups should minimise congregating with other groups. A maximum of 50 people in our main pools at any time Maximum numbers in the toddler pools vary from pool to pool depending on their size, more details can be found on Councils website. Check-in to the pool when you arrive to assist us with contact-tracing requirements, using the QR code which will be located at each pool entrance, patrons are encouraged to bring their smart phones to do this, if you are unable to use the QR code, please alert a lifeguard to assist you with checking in. While our toilets, showers and changerooms will be open for the community to use, we encourage pool patrons to minimise the use of these facilities where possible, to help us keep on top of sanitising these areas frequently. For more information, including opening times, visit https://www.buloke.vic.gov.au/swimming-pools
