24.01.2022 We had a great Friday night abiding by the COVID restrictions whilst enjoying the hobby! Personally tonight was all about perfecting my stance and draw back style (the photo in this post was the closest target, shows how you need to move around target distance whilst practicing). Some cheeky monkey moved the targets back a little further and many participants that normally use those areas certainly noticed ... Note: don’t forget the Sunday shoot is on this weekend Cheers Mel

24.01.2022 the pointy sticky baggy thing is indeed a quiver Yes the indoor range is open!!! Friday 6-9pm ... Please note: - Register your attendance at the commencement of the night - Social distancing measures need to be followed (this may mean waiting a round out or two to ensure fair play). Maximum capacity 20 participants! - No sharing of equipment - If the archery club equipment is used for the night the equipment needs to be sanitised after the completion of the nights activities - Hand sanitise often (where possible wash your hands) - If feeling unwell ‘stay home’

21.01.2022 So what Weekend activities are you doing? I was a little sick of tightening my tips last night at indoor archery so I decided to see if using a medium strength threadlocker would make a difference (I will let you know how it goes next time we are practicing). Do you have any archery tips that you want to share? (Please post in comments and with a sneaky pic if available)... Cheers Mel

19.01.2022 A wonderful day shooting in Donald with a few friends that came over Roadie from White Rose and Andy and jack from Dunolly

17.01.2022 Sunday 26th July Out having a shot with some 3Ds for a change! Loving the weather and being in our outdoor range, it really fits in well with meeting COVID restrictions. The day was great with many participants and one participant even got robinhood ... Hope to see some friendly faces next month (COVID permitting of course)

17.01.2022 A few members have there own outdoor archery set up, these are just some that I’ve found on the big wide web but I would like to know what others have to practice on..... Feel free to add a photo or more in the comments! Cheers Mel

15.01.2022 Had I nice little turn up today for our monthly outdoor shoot. The weather wasn’t to bad, rained a little but participants stuck it out and shot in it.

15.01.2022 It’s your Thursday night reminder.... Friday night archery 6-9pm * COVID restrictions apply *

12.01.2022 To the people that didn’t know Blakey (Geoffrey Blake) had some chest pains Sunday morning at 3am I’m glad he was stubborn and he drove himself to the hospital he was have a heart attack he ended up going in for surgery and had a double heart bypass he is in the Geelong hospital he is doing well and on the mend he will be out of action for a while we hope but I doubt we will be able to keep the bow out of his hand because on Sunday while he was in the Donald hospital hooked up to the equipment there he said to the nurses that he had to go set up the outdoor range so we could have our Sunday shoot it didn’t happen they did let him go lol

10.01.2022 What a great turn out tonight for our indoor range! We had some young and some not so young A couple of us learnt what a Robin Hood was tonight. For the individuals that don’t know it’s when an arrow hits the end of another arrow. (See photo for description) ... We also had many participants excited with their ‘groupings’ Note: please remember when we have more participants you do need to wait a turn or two to ensure fairness (due to COVID restrictions with social distancing) Cheers Mel
