25.01.2022 Fantastic seeing Minyip-Murtoa Football and Netball Club's buddy program succeed. DMS sponsored the three buddy nights held throughout the 2018 season, it’s great to see the junior players learning and developing new skills from their senior mentors. #asmallclubdoingBIGthings #MMFNC

23.01.2022 DMS representatives were happy to see the Donald Weir Pool looking so great at a recent gathering celebrating the completion of the project. We hope that by donating some of our water, the Donald Weir Pool will have the ability to top up during drier times, allowing Donald and it's surrounding areas to continue to enjoy the social, recreational and environmental benefits that water brings into our local communities. Well done to everyone involved in this project, it's a fantastic asset to the area.

21.01.2022 Astron Limited/DMS was pleased to meet with Anne Webster MP and her team in Canberra recently where key opportunities for our region were discussed, including opportunities for co-existence with agriculture, agriculture diversification, renewable energy systems and regional employment. DMS acknowledge the need for developing and upskilling regional populations in related attributes to complement its future mining operations work force. #AstronLimited #Mining #RegionalDevelopment #RegionalJobs #Wimmera #Mallee

13.01.2022 The Minerals Council of Australia's (MCA) new publication "Mineral Sands: From ancient oceans to modern technology" highlights the opportunity to supply growing markets with high grade mineral sand resources. The potential for this emerging industry within Victoria is significant with many flow on opportunities for industries, businesses and communities alike. Astron's wholly owned subsidiary Donald Mineral Sands (DMS) project is located in the Wimmera region of Victoria with...in the Murray Basin and holds world class Mineral Sands deposits. These deposits can produced titanium, zircon and rare earths commodities and with a growing global demand, Victoria and Australia are poised to capitalise on the supply of these minerals and associated value-add industries. Whilst conventional demand globally for mineral sands products in the development of paint, steel and ceramics industries continues to evolve, the growing demand for Mineral Sands final product application in new technologies such as renewable energy, medical equipment, robotics and electric vehicles is evident. Identifying and meeting the needs of these emerging and important new technology supply chains is an opportunity to be proud of. #MineralSands #RegionalDevelopment #AustralianMining #DMS #Wimmera

12.01.2022 DMS were thrilled to support Yarrilinks community planting weekend in Minyip. What a great opportunity for us to contribute to our local environment, and meet participants of the AMES program, which works to help migrants learn English. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out! #peopleofnrm #Yarrilinks http://www.mailtimes.com.au//friendships-made-at-yarrilin/

10.01.2022 The Astron / DMS team has been collaborating with the Minerals Council of Australia over several years, promoting the potential mining industry opportunities within Victoria. The DMS project in North Western Victoria was one of these projects promoted in Canberra over recent weeks where critical mineral supply and value add opportunities for the State of Victoria were discussed. Political acknowledgement is a key milestone in achieving high level recognition of potential p...rojects like DMS in Victoria. Victoria holds the future of long-term mineral sands commodities for generations based on the known explored resources to date. Identifying, developing and designing large mining projects takes considerable time and effort behind the scenes to ensure all approvals, conditions and methods of separation are low impact and of a high standard. These efforts are often overlooked and it is greatly appreciated to see the DMS team efforts clearly recognised at a political level by Dr Anne Webster MP. The DMS project anticipates 150 FTE employees per stage with stage 2 closely following stage 1 development. Full time contractors and indirect services in local communities are not included in the potential staffing numbers and therefore the benefits of such a project undoubtedly stimulates many industries, businesses and communities at a regional level.

09.01.2022 Dear all valued Staff, Stakeholders and Community Members, 2017 has yet again seen many developments and progress, albeit not known to all stakeholders. The DMS team has been working aligned with other global projects and operations including preparation and support with the Astron China and Senegal teams. DMS and Astron again supported local members and groups with sponsorships, water donations and the like. DMS wishes to stay connected with its local communities and aims ...to engage and apply more opportunities in the future. Again, the team should be proud of their professional contributions throughout the year and their diversification of tasks and duties to align to the Global vision of Astron. This is a credit to you all and much appreciated. DMS will continue to develop and define its project in the Murray Basin over the 2018 period where it is anticipating a ramp up stage towards practical completion of programs. Our Minyip office will close on 22/12/17 and reopen 08/01/18. The DMS team wish you and your families a Safe and Merry Christmas and look forward to collaborating with you all in 2018. Merry Christmas, and a Safe and Happy New Year.
