23.01.2022 We’ve been getting questions on what is the best way to donate to our bushfire appeal as there are options to donate directly via Facebook as well as via www.donarity.org.au In summary Facebook provides the ability to donate to registered charities without any fees, however the funds take longer to reach us. Donations can be made for as little as $2. Donating via the campaigns on our website makes it easier and quicker for us so can act faster. We do have a $10 minimum dona...tion as the merchant fees we incur make it inefficient to do anything less (we absorb the fees, not the donations). I hope this makes it a little clearer and thank you all again for your continued support of the communities in need of our assistance. Donarity

23.01.2022 Looking forward to another delivery for Children's Hospital Foundation! Their excitement was so genuine during our first delivery and I can’t wait to deliver again on behalf of this phenomenal community

22.01.2022 We are hoping to finalising our campaign to assist NSW & Qld communities as soon as possible. Just $355 to go and we can get that underway. https://www.donarity.org/campaign/18/bushfire-assistance. We would love to be able to raise again for further affected communities as this natural disaster continues across other parts of the country.... Everything counts and makes an absolute difference. Donarity *All donations over $2 are tax deductible*

22.01.2022 This is not OK! This sort of news further confirms Donarity's approach to full transparency and connecting our donors to real outcomes. We are 100% run by volunteers, ensuring 90% of every donation makes it to those that need it most. We are currently supporting Sunnyfield Disability Services, Humpty Dumpty Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland, so head over to www.donarity.org now to make a real impact!

20.01.2022 More Donations Delivered! Another batch of gift cards are on their way to the fire affected community of Nymboida. Over 140 houses were lost and the rebuild is just beginning. These cards are being used to purchase fencing supplies, water tanks and other necessary items. We are still running our campaign to purchase water tanks and some trailers for this community. You can directly help here - https://www.donarity.org//bush-fire-re-build-village-of-ny Donarity

19.01.2022 We've posted this video a few times but it's quite topical again. Donarity is all volunteer run and passed on 100% of donations (cash donations as gift cards and donated items) to those in need throughout the NSW mid north coast 2 weeks ago. We chose to pass on 100% due to the nature of the bush fire disaster, however the model we run can be explained in this video. We are trying to shake up this sector to make a bigger and longer lasting impact. Donarity

19.01.2022 How good is it to see your donations at work! We received these photos today from the Goulburn Base Hospital, where the Rad-5 Oximeter was donated by the Donarity Community. The Donarity difference turns more of your donations into outcomes just like this! For our current campaigns, visit here - https://www.donarity.org/explore Humpty Dumpty Foundation

18.01.2022 Happy Friday! What better way to see in the weekend than having a massive impact towards our current campaigns! For Sunnyfield Disability Services we are seeking $550 to fund the establishment of a new home with furniture/appliances to make life-changing differences for people in need. For Humpty Dumpty Foundation we need a further $2695 to deliver a AIRVO 2 HUMIDIFIER required for Casino & District Memorial Hospital!... For Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland we are looking for $250 from our community to provide essential items to support families during their hospital stays. All current and previously funded campaigns can be seen here - https://www.donarity.org/explore Donarity

16.01.2022 *2 More Days for Drop Offs* Thank you to everyone who has already donated much need items and money (nearly $3,000 so far!) that will be used to provide gift cards for essential purchases and services (bought locally where possible!). We are still taking donations here - https://www.donarity.org/campaign/18/bushfire-assistance... We are also taking donated items, but we've been asked that no more clothing is required for now. We will be heading off on Saturday morning to deliver everything that's been donated to the fire affected communities of Glen Innes and Kempsey. Other areas are simply too unsafe to travel into at this point in time. Thank you again for all your assistance at this time. Donarity

16.01.2022 *IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE BUSHFIRE APPEAL* Firstly, thank you everyone who has supported our appeal to assist those affected by past, present and on-going bushfires. We are delivering much needed items and locally purchased grocery gift cards throughout the mid-north NSW coast this weekend.... The communities that are able to make use of donations now, are typically the ones who were affected in the last few months (Nov-Dec) as clean-ups and assessments take place. Even though the active fires are the ones in the headlines now, it's near impossible to gain safe access, let alone store items under such conditions. This is why consumables, non-perishable foods, even care packs (think a book, a comb, some deodorant and some tea) are most useful - can be used immediately and don't take up space. But for those communities where the fires have been and gone, the re-build must start. Many are living with family/friends and/or in temporary and emergency accommodation. To these people, the value of a gift card to buy food, fuel, replacement items can be invaluable, to free up money for insurance excesses, more permanent accommodation etc. Long after the fires are gone, and the headlines have ceased, all those affected will need our support - steady on-going support. We will soon be releasing details on our "Big Community Drive-Buy" encouraging everyone who can (and when it's safe to do so) go on a day trip (or weekend or longer!) and buy up in these communities. Stopping at the markets, filling up at the local petrol station, and supporting any small business possible. We are starting to hear of families who've lost everything relocating wherever they can to take stock. If you know anyone directly affected that needs assistance, and is ready for item collection, please let us know as we can provide what we have and ask for what's needed. Stay strong, stay positive and stay supportive. Donarity

15.01.2022 Just because there’s rain and no headlines, doesn’t mean it’s gone away.....17 uncontained fires thank you to the relentless work of our firies and emergency service workers

15.01.2022 Merry Christmas from the team at Donarity May your holidays be filled with laughter, love and joyMerry Christmas from the team at Donarity May your holidays be filled with laughter, love and joy

15.01.2022 *JOB POSTINGS* Given there is more than enough posts on what COVID-19 is and isn't, and what will or won't happen, we wanted to make a dedicated post that people who know of jobs available, or have jobs available can make this known. There is significantly increased demand across certain areas of banking, supermarkets/supply chains and the health sector (non-medial). ... The flow on of giving one person/family employment back has a massive flow on effect through the community. For example, that one family can keep purchasing take-out from the local small business, that keeps a few more employees on, that keeps a delivery service viable, that keeps demand through the food supply chain. Whether it's a job you can offer or one you've come across - please share and post.

14.01.2022 From all the volunteers at Donarity, we'd like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support in bringing about change and making an impact. 2019 was our first full year as a registered charity, and you can see by our completed campaigns that we had a great start. With your continued support we can make 2020 even bigger and bring real change to those who need it most! Donarity... www.donarity.org

14.01.2022 No words........

13.01.2022 "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."

13.01.2022 We will assess in the morning, but certainly hoping to make our way and deliveries to Grafton, Coffs and Kempsey safely.

13.01.2022 Help us raise $10,000 to directly purchase & deliver two dual axle trailers as well as 30 x 1000L water tanks to this community. The Details: It’s almost three months since the horrific bush fire which ripped through the village of Nymboida, destroying around 90 homes.... Nymboida Recovery Hub (which is situated in the grounds of the Nymboida Canoe Centre), is still in need of our help and assistance. They have taken delivery of fourteen (14) 1000 litre water tanks, but given 90 houses were lost, in excess of 100 more water tanks are needed. They also need to be able to transport the tanks, with water, and require two, one tonne dual axle trailers that can cope with that load. These would then become an on-going community asset for moving water. If we can raise more, then we can supply more water tanks, but let's at least get started. Donarity *Please note our preferred method of donation is via our website, as we receive the donation much faster, which means we can action things quicker. Whilst donating via facebook is lower in fees, it can take 45+ days to come through :( *

12.01.2022 If you can help out with any of these items they will be gratefully received by Friends With Dignity

12.01.2022 What welcome news! While parts of Qld and NSW are now experiencing extensive rains leading to some flooding, this same rain has been assisting those tireless workers in the RFS. Thank you for everything you’ve done this fire season

11.01.2022 So privileged, that even in these tough times people can find a way to give and to make a difference. Charities are feeling impacts like never before and these gift cards are on their way to Ronald McDonald House Charities in South-East Queensland to re-stock the pantries! Thank you to all who have and still donate

10.01.2022 Australian bushfire appeal - Donarity The Australian Spirit is so strong in times of need and right now so many of our own are hurting. Our generosity needs to make the biggest impact right now and here’s how we work: - 100% of donations are being turned into gift cards for essential purchases like fuel, food and clothing ... - exclusively volunteer run - registered Australian Charity - delivered directly to communities impacted Unfortunately we cannot raise directly for animal welfare but please support The Rescue Collective who is also volunteer run and doing amazing things for our wildlife. Donarity

09.01.2022 Just 2 more days of Donarity being on the local matters jar at Grill'd Camp Hill! We’re stoked at the level of support received and can’t wait to be able to deliver some goodies to Children's Hospital Foundation

08.01.2022 It’s important to keep the need of Australians at the forefront. The fires may have slipped from the front page because they aren’t sensational anymore. This is sad, because now is when the affected communities need us most. The fires are still raging in Victoria, the rebuild is still taking place almost everywhere. The spirit and generosity we’ve shown is beyond words. But it has to continue....this isn’t another appeal, this isn’t another crisis. What’s happened this ti...me round is beyond words. What’s worse is when we get relieving rains, the run off causes ash to infiltrate our waterways and kill off fish, platypus and other species. We need to get out there, we need to keep supporting and donating, long after the headlines cease. The Big Community Drive-Buy is coming, but until then we need more giving. You can do that here and ensure it gets to where it needs to: https://www.donarity.org/campaign/18/bushfire-assistance Donarity

08.01.2022 *DONATIONS DELIVERED!!* Thank you to all those who have donated so far. We have dropped off all of the donated goods to assist the fire affected communities of Nymboida and Wytaliba in New South Wales. We then travelled south to Kempsey to purchase gift cards from the local Central IGA with the funds donated so far. These were picked up by Kempsey Shire Council who are coordinating the relief effort and will be distributed amongst the 30+ families who have lost their homes. ... We are so grateful for the support shown so far and are so happy to be able to help these families in their time of need. As the fires are slowly getting under control further communities and families will be in a position to now accept donations and aid as the towns become accessible again. We hope you see the immediate impact your generosity has created and look forward to your continued support. Donarity

06.01.2022 Good evening friends Urgent Request UR419 We have a request for $150 to repair a broken window in a home for a family who escaped DV. The children were sadly ex...posed to the violence in the previous home and this has resulted in the children exhibiting challenging behaviours and one, who struggles to express themself, has unfortunately smashed a window and mum can’t afford to fix it. Can you help us by donating a few dollars towards the repair? Please email [email protected] for banking details Ref: UR419 Tax deductible receipt available on request Thank you so much Friends #stepupforfriends #friendswithdignity #stepupspeakoutsupport

03.01.2022 We're excited to have been accepted in Grill'd's Local Matters effort! Get down to Grill'd Camp Hill all through August, enjoy a burger and be sure to drop your bottle cap in the Donarity jar!

02.01.2022 A friendly reminder, if you are looking for food options this weekend (and all of August) to pop into Grill'd at Camp Hill, and support Donarity with our Local Matters cause this month!

01.01.2022 So much sadness, heartbreak and anger in our community right now. Unfortunately this sort of behaviour is far too common, although the level of yesterday's act has shaken everyone to the core. If you are looking for ways to help (now and on-going), please consider supporting Friends With Dignity. This is a fantastic, volunteer run charity that works to create safe environments for those trying to escape or re-build in DV situations. There has also been a very well supported G...oFundMe to assist the affected families during this process. Donarity
