25.01.2022 Evening folks, hope everyone had a safe and happy festive season, and enjoyed the mid season break. This week sees us get back into action and is the start of a busy month ahead, we kick off the new year Saturday with both sides taking on Dennis before we head to Bundoora Park for the Laurie Hill cup on Tuesday night which is also our final T20 group game with a spot in the next round on the line. We also have a couple of events later in the month with the Bomba cup and our reverse draw to finish January in style. A great month lies ahead

25.01.2022 Due to the current restrictions and the uncertainty of when well be able to hold a presentation function, tonight we are announcing the award winners with the plan to hand out the awards at a function to kick off the new season. Congratulations to all the award winners for 2019/20.

25.01.2022 Urgent must read notice Now that the dust has settled on disappointing weekend we need to put things in perspective, with the uncertainty surrounding the world at the moment its worrying times not just for the smallest but all businesses, and more importantly their staff,in recent times weve been privileged to have great support from businesses that made themselves a part of the Donath family. 24.01.2022 Hey folks our good friends at Tonda Italian have revised their trading hours and will be opening Wednesday to Sunday 4:30Pm to 8:30pm, and theyll be offering their full menu available for takeaway pick up and they are working on there home delivery. You can also order via Uber Eats but these is not the preferred method due to Uber taking 35% and in these tough times its not ideal. 24.01.2022 This weeks round up brought to you by Healy Metalworking. Round 2 is in the books and has seen the 1sts continue their strong start to the season by accounting for Dennis, whilst the 2nds bounced back from their narrow defeat in round 1 to comfortably defeat Dennis also. There were strong bowling performances in both sides from the Tim & Daniel Sedgwick, Riley Smith, Andrew Ellis and Jayen Ladiges-Tucker, Whilst with the bat Harley Short and Sam Dauer led the way for their respective sides. With early season momentum building we head into a big round 3 against Olympic Colts with both clubs making strong starts to the season, and another week with former players turning out for both sides. If last seasons semi final is anything to go by an exciting round lies ahead.

These clinics are open to Junior Girls from all clubs and within our local community. 22.01.2022 This weeks round up comes to courtesy of the Sporting Globe The 1s were looking to go into the break with their undefeated record intact, batting first Camrea put a score of 9/180 on the board after a 9th wicket stand of 35, Daniel Sedgwick 3 wickets lead the way with Harley Short, Jack Tennent and Jordan Venables 2 a piece. In reply Adam Neil 39, Jack Tennent 25 and Jordan Venables 22 were the leading batsman in a chase that fell short being bowled out for 148. Out first lo...ss sees us drop to second on percentage after six games and with 8 games remaining were in a great position to push forward in the new year. The 2s headed to Camrea looming to return to the winners list after a couple losses and the bowlers delivered right on cue with Riley Smith running through the batting side in his 50th game with 6/17. With a target of 84 things didn’t start well losing an early wicket but Sam Dauer 52 not out and Jake Busuttil 24 not out making short work of the chase the 2s will head into the new year in 3rd. So that’s the first half of the season in the bag as 2020 comes to an end and we’d like to thank everyone for their fantastic support particularly last 8 months when things have been extremely tough, and we wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy and safe new year. 14.01.2022 The teams are in for this weeks games with both taking on Olympic Colts, the ones host colts in what should be a cracking game between two undefeated sides looking continue to set the pace, and with added spice of a couple of new panthers taking on their former side. Then the twos head down to colts as they look to push on after bouncing back with a strong win last week and move ahead in the win loss column. so a big week ahead lets bring two wins. Go Panthers

13.01.2022 The teams are in for the final round of 2020 before a well deserved break. 1sts are at home for a third top of the table clash in four games against camrea, a chance to go into the break 6-0 with a game buffer over second is on offer and will set us up nicely to attack the second half of the season heading to finals. Meanwhile the 2s take on camrea in a grade that sees teams 3 to 7 locked on two wins in what’s shaping as a very tight grade, a win will see us take a top four... spot to the new year with everything to play for leading to finals So another big weekend on the field and don’t forget our Xmas party tomorrow night with a visit from santa and we’ll be handing out the awards from last season

12.01.2022 This week's round up is comes to thanks to to McDonalds Thomastown. Round 3 saw both sides take on Olympic Colts with the 1sts hosting Colts in a top of the table clash, with Colts winning the toss and putting the home side in the Panthers set a target of 172 with Marc La Brooy 46 the standout with Dale Rigby 23 and Matt Mickelson 25 also getting starts. With the ball it was a tight bowling display by all the bowlers that restricted the flow of runs for Colts and saw a comfor...table win for the Panther. The 2s made the trip down to Olympic park and after winning the toss and bowling picked themselves up after conceding 20 in the first two overs to run through the batting side for 47, with 4 wickets each Tim Sedgwick and Riley Smith continued there great form to set up an early finish, Before the batting made short work of the chase with Sam Dauer finishing unbeaten with 28. That sees both sides move into second on percentage and the a game behind, next week sees both sides take on Fairfield looking to really establish themselves in the top 4 and put a gap between them and the chasing packs.

06.01.2022 As we head into the break there’s quite a bit going on when we return in January, not only do we resume our chase for finals spots but we have a few events in between. First up is the Laurie Cup against Bundoora Park, which doubles as our final group game of the T20 with both sides still in the mix to naive on to the qtr finals. Then we have the Bomba cup day as we honour our great mate and raise money for the heart foundation, always one of the best nights of the year. ... And we round out January with our biggest day of the year at our reverse draw day. A great month lies ahead so keep those dates free.
