21.01.2022 Today some of our Kinder children had the opportunity to interact with two senior students from St Peter & Pauls Doncaster East, who as part of their Pay it Forward project, prepared presentations of stories to read to the children through zoom. Lunar New Year is one of the biggest celebrations on the Chinese and south-east Asian calendar. 2021 is the Year of the Metal Ox, which symbolises diligence, honesty, reliability, stability, perseverance, power, stubbornness and excellence. The Lunar New Year isn't only observed in China, it's celebrated across several countries and other territories in Asia. Just like the Western New Year on January 1, Lunar New Year celebrates new beginnings. So for all our families that celebrate, we say Happy New Year!

03.01.2022 What a beautiful way to end the week with a rainbow framing our wonderful centre. This week we have celebrated National Science Week, with each room planning different science experiments. Our kindergarten room has implemented the colourful skittles experiment, pepper in water and baking soda and vinegar experiment. While our babies room have focused on the different senses and colour mixing. Our Pre kinder rooms topic has been sources of light and completed a planting an...d kinetic sand experience. We have also been running our At Home Learning Program, with our pre-kinder room running their zoom learning session today, focussing on how rainbows are created.
