24.01.2022 Today's update is to talk about stamina. I really don't know how people hold down full-time work, and then go out at night! I've just completed a very successfu...l market in Kew last night, after working (not very hard!) at my day job. Thank goodness, l got to the market early, and managed to get a parking spot right beside my stall. I hate to think what would have happened if l had had to trolley in all my stock!!! I managed to get set-up, even with the wind (High street is a wind-tunnel, l discovered!). Then the people started arriving, and traffic was slow but steady! I sold a chook toy, and she is going under the Christmas tree for some lucky Aunt! The mini chooks and owls were popular, and l will have to get re-stocking those! As l said earlier, it was a good market, and the vibe was great! There was of course, the red-suited gentleman, but also, there was wandering magicians and carollers. It just added to the whole atmosphere! The best part was that there was marshals who regularly checked up on you. That was nice, and made you feel a real part of the market. But onwards and upwards! My market tomorrow is in Doncaster at the Council offices. It's called Doncaster Hill market, because the council offices sit on a hill!!! How original! Anyhow, l will be there from 9-1pm with my chooks, and some new crocheted horses that would look great as a stocking stuffer! Just saying...! So tomorrow l'll have all my toys and skeins with me. But if you want anything Ashford, just holler! I can't guarantee that they will be here before Christmas, but it could always be your "After Christmas gift" to yourself!!! See more
