19.01.2022 There was a time when someone would ask me what my favourite flower was and roses were never the answer. But the longer I worked with flowers the more I discovered the endless shapes, forms, scents and colours that existed across roses. I developed a fascination for the varieties with fuller petals. Particularly the garden rose varieties and David Austin’s that had shorter lifespans because possessing that all-consuming sweet scent always comes at a cost. And if anything it m...ade me appreciate them so much more. Creating with them, enjoying their presence for that temporary moment, knowing well they will die. I made it a mission to source the finest varieties. We don’t compromise this and I guess that’s what makes us different. In under an hour we transformed the Linseed Room at the @thegrounds into this whimsical European enchantment for Gabriella and Khalil’s Wedding. Dreamy tones of pinks and purples paired with soft peaches using a selection of seasonal varieties including lilac, smokebush, hellebores, local roses and the statement tall bearded iris which we drove to Bilpin to hand select for this wedding.
