24.01.2022 Thankyou to all of our wonderful sponsors for our Ladies fashions this year! Over $4000 of prizes on offer this year with places for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and this year we will have a ‘Best of the Locals’ prize for the best dressed Dongara girl - and yes, you can still take out a place as well- which means if you’re a local and you win or place, you take home both prizes and 2 sashes. 22.01.2022 After getting some trees at the Race Club chopped, we now have about 20 tonne of wood for sale if anyone is interested in it, either the whole lot ($500) or part thereof ($30 per tonne). Will need to be collected from the Race Club and some cut into smaller pieces for transportation. Contact Ian on 0458 770 988 or Janette on 0409 086 647 for more details.

21.01.2022 On advice from RWWA, in line with the Federal Governments decision regarding crowds exceeding 500 people due to the COVID-19 virus, unfortunately no spectators will be permitted to enter the Racecourse on Easter Saturday. See you next year!

13.01.2022 We are excited to announce the return of our major sponsor, the Shire of Irwin, for the 2020 Fashions on the Field competition. The winner will be eligible to submit their entry to the WA Fashions on the Field competition so to ensure everyone has a fair chance, below are some guidelines our judges will be using. All entrants will be judged on the following criteria:... a. Appropriateness of outfits for Fashions on the Field (e.g. appropriate length skirt, no excessive exposure of skin); b. Style and originality; c. Attention to detail (e.g. millinery, clutch, jewellery); d. Understanding and interpretation of the current fashion trends; and e. Grooming and deportment. Although it is autumn, contestants will not be penalised for outfits that fit spring/summer criteria as we are aware the state final falls in spring and would like the Dongara winner to be competitive at the finals. We will be awarding the best dressed on the day who adheres to the above criteria set out by WA Fashions on the Field and used by them to select their finalists and the overall winner.

This year, things are slightly different. The weather is amazing, but COVID-19 has rained on our parade.
