18.01.2022 Do you remember when the Amazon rain forest went up in flames? The whole world stopped, and prayed, the hashtag #prayfortheamazon swept the globe. What about wh...en the historic and beautiful Notre Dame burnt devastatingly to the ground? Again, the world stopped and #prayedforparis. Australia, the land of the lucky they call us. The sun burnt country, that today finds itself in the midst of the worst bushfire crisis our country has ever seen. We are burning. Our friends have lost their homes, and will continue to lose their homes. People have lost their lives. These fires are angry, fierce and show no signs of remorse nor does the end seem near. We have had support from international fire fighters, joining the ranks of local heroes who do not wear capes, our fire fighters are the angels of our sun burnt land. With hell on earth reaching our Australian shores, where is the attention from the rest of the world? Has the world stopped like they did for the Amazon or for Paris as they did recently? I am not one for religion, but if there is a God amongst us, please stop and take a minute from your day and #prayforaustralia and #prayforrain. More importantly, please donate to our heroes keeping the fighting spirit going and to help aid the Salvation Army who are trying their best to support families in need. International friends, Australia needs you.
