25.01.2022 I usually spend a chunk of time on Fridays masticating the word for Sunday. Today I was very inspired and encouraged by the Rocketeers Friday kids club. It is exciting to see the word of God come alive in the lives of children.

24.01.2022 I am prayed up and prepared for the honour and privilege of bringing the Word of The Lord to the ACC House in Dongara this morning.

20.01.2022 1 Peter 2:4-10. LEARN TO WALK IN VICTORY. FELLOWSHIP with Jesus. 4-5. TRUST in Jesus. 6-8. ONENESS to God. 9. ... WITNESS for God. 9-10. If you follow The Lord, what is on the other side of the wilderness? The Promised Land. See more

20.01.2022 As we reflect on the season the world is currently in our thought process should reflect thankfulness. The Philippian church was preparing to enter a new phase and Paul wrote to them from a prison cell. Philippians 4:6-7... Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Historically, we understand the church in Philippi was started by a group of dedicated women as there were not enough interested Jewish males (required minimum 10) to form a proper synagogue. So they gathered at the river and worshipped together. The first significant recorded Philippian church growth point was as a result of conflict and a demonic exorcism (Acts 16). Paul was instructing the church not to worry. He used the word anxious and commentators suggest that being anxious in this situation is unproductive, wasting time and even a destructive mental exercise that needlessly saps energy, and the events they were worrying about would probably not even occur. Paul actually forbids anxiety as it is a distraction that undermines godly faith and practice. There were no exceptions as he said don’t be anxious ABOUT ANYTHING. The church was entering a new phase and Paul wanted the people to be physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually prepared for that. He did not want people engaging in theoretical and hypothetical possibilities that would not come to pass, and would probably at best lead to the sin of gossip. Instead, Paul told the church to pray and to give thanks. He said, okay church, present your requests to God, and His PEACE, which TRANSCENDS (goes beyond range or limits) of ALL understanding, WILL guard your HEARTS and your MINDS in Christ Jesus. With Dongara Christian Centre entering a new phase, we take on board what Paul was saying to the church then and now. (Philippians 4:6-7). DON’T BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING BUT IN EVERY SITUATION BY PRAYER AND PETITION GIVE THANKS (HAVE A THANKFUL ATTITUDE) PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD AND THE PEACE OF GOD WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR MINDS IN CHRIST JESUS Blessings to you.

19.01.2022 I have been praying for the Irwin shire, Dongara township, and Dongara Christian Centre. The Lord has led me to some very specific and powerful scriptures and scriptural concepts. Although flesh and blood would appear to stand against the church, our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Paul tells us how to dress for the battle. Why?... So we can take our stand against the enemies schemes, when (not if) the day of evil comes. Then in Ephesians 6 verse 18 Paul instructs the church to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests He makes a clear distinction to pray for all the Lord’s people. Who are the Lord’s people? Eastmead explains from Deuteronomy 32:9, the Lord’s people are; A chosen people. A renewed people. A people of faith. A justified people. A people who perform good works. Ephesians 6:18. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Eph. 6:11-17 6. "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." So as DCC prays from the soldiers frontline position, specifically into these areas we can expect to see the flaming arrows of the evil one extinguished. Paul draws a line in the sand against the enemies of the church at this point and we must do the same. If you are a soldier of the Lord at DCC (or elsewhere), clothe yourself appropriately prepare for an inevitable battle pray accordingly expect victory Paul ends the discourse with the concepts of Peace. Love. Faith. Grace. Ephesians 6:23-24 NIV Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love. Blessings.

19.01.2022 This morning at DCC I had the privilege (preaching is a privilege) of preaching on the fourth man in the furnace (Daniel ch 3). It is the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego being thrown into a very fiery furnace, a fourth man appearing and the three surviving completely unharmed, not even a smell of smoke upon them. Spiritually, it is a very rich and encouraging story. During my research for the message I came across the following article from Oral Roberts. I loved it. ...Continue reading

19.01.2022 Friends usually know each other pretty well and keep in contact. How is your friendship with Jesus going?

18.01.2022 Thankyou everybody for your prayers regarding this morning’s Mayoral Prayer Breakfast. Last year I swung by the kitchen to see if they needed a hand. This year l was asked to chef the kitchen. The whole morning was very successful. Thank you for your love, encouragement and prayers. A great encouragement. Blessings to all. Doug.

14.01.2022 As I set out on a prayer ride this morning, despite all that is happening in the world, both seen and unseen, the thought from Ecclesiastes 3 kept quietly chipping at me. God has set eternity into our hearts. Eccl 3:11. NIV He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.... Dongara Christian Centre. 10am Sunday.

14.01.2022 Do we really believe what we believe? Dongara Christian Centre. 10 am Sunday morning.

13.01.2022 This morning we looked at an area that is close to my heart. We looked at revival. We looked at it from a Luke chapter 1 perspective. I am not talking about doing good into the community or engaging into things. That is useful and certainly does have a place in church life. However, it rarely makes disciples of Jesus Christ who are filled with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. I believe the keys we discussed this morning will bring Dongara Christian Centre more deliberately aligned with and into what l believe is a revival atmosphere.

13.01.2022 He is Risen. Happy Easter to one and all. We trust you are doing well on this somewhat different Easter Resurrection Sunday. As we recap the Passover season we note that there are four sequential significant days to consider. Personally I often reflect on the Saturday. Jesus body lay in a tomb and His disciples and followers would have spent the day wondering what went wrong. They would have considered their personal investment into something and someone, had failed at ...Continue reading

13.01.2022 Dongara Christian Centre is recommencing church services tomorrow, May 31. Pentecost Sunday. 10am Coles Way Port Denison.

11.01.2022 This evening I had dinner with long time friends, Paul and Trish. Paul asked me what I am sharing about tomorrow. I said sowing in a land of famine. He immediately quoted to me the passage of scripture and related the context I intend sharing from. Isaac sowed in a famine. Isaac reaped 100 fold in the same famine. ... I was putting in some prayer and reflection time along Ocean Drive on the way home from dinner and God was very clear in His encouragement. Sow in famine time and you could reap a hundred fold. Don’t sow and you give me nothing to work with. I found that to be an interesting thought, as l looked into the general direction of Africa. Dongara Christian Centre. Sunday Service. 10 AM.

08.01.2022 Unless The Holy Spirit says something different overnight, we will be looking at walking by faith and not by sight from 2 Corinthians 5 at Dongara Christian Centre tomorrow morning. The service starts at 10am. DCC is located at Coles Way Port Denison. We welcome you to join us. Blessings. ... Doug, Fiona and the DCC crew. See more

07.01.2022 Genesis 26:3 Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. Stay in the land of famine. Don’t run away to Egypt. ... I will be with you in the land of famine. I will bless you in the land of famine. Yours is a generational blessing. Isaac planted crops in the land of famine. The same year reaped a hundredfold. BECAUSE THE LORD BLESSED HIM. Isaac became rich. Isaac’s wealth continued to grow. Isaac became very wealthy. Prospering in the land of famine. Genesis 26:12-14 NIV Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.

06.01.2022 Out and about in Port Denison for this evening’s sunset. Psalm 113:3 From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the Lord is to be praised.

03.01.2022 In the Bible in Luke 24, we are told to tarry. In this sense, to tarry is to linger in expectation, to wait, to abide or stay in or at a place. To wait in expectation for someone or something. The promise of Father God that Luke was referring to, was the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Thus, one prayer l have in this tarrying process, is that the Irwin Shire will know the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. And that’s a good thing to pray for. Blessings to all.

02.01.2022 We had a great time at DCC this morning. Prayer. Discussion. Celebration. Worship. ... Communion. Giving. Message. Ministry. Fellowship. We focused on Ephesians 6:10-20. Know your God. Know your enemy. Know yourself. The key concept was standing in Christ against the real enemy. Take your stand. Stand your ground. Do everything to stand. Stand firm. Thank you everyone who attended this morning. Together we shall stand. Ephesians 6:11, 13-14 NIV Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
