22.01.2022 Hello to the many faces and styles of one of my most photographed and beloved clients & friends Katharina Surtees VO . Our first photoshoot was almost 3 years ago and since then we have shared many differing shoots incorporating indoor & outdoor locations, studios, sound booths, events, and her home. ... Kat is a supreme example of someone who uses the images from our shoots skilfully, thoughtfully and professionally to effectively express her own unique energy, vibe and personality (not to mention incredible glam ) throughout all her social media platforms. Working together on a regular basis creates such an incredible flow and comfort to capture amazing images each and every time. We know each other’s style. We know each other’s idiosyncrasies. We know so much about each other’s life. We share our ideas, constantly try new things, and the images we capture get better each and every time! I can’t recommend the benefits of having regular photoshoots enough. They increase your confidence and give you so many opportunities to show up on socials. Thanks for ALL THE FUN Kat

17.01.2022 For a period of about 15+ years of my life I wouldn’t wear shorts. From a teenager I began developing those pesky spider veins that just progressively became worse and at a certain point I decided they were grossly unappealing and I simply adopted a ‘long dress & pants only policy!’ ... It was torturous at times, but the thought of exposing those legs in public was an even more torturous thought! But during a holiday to our rather hot & humid Northern Territory, the torture became more than was humanly tolerable and I (very) reluctantly donned a pair of shorts, and ... IT. WAS. LIBERATING!!! A few years on from that life-enhancing decision, I am struck by the ridiculousness of my own self consciousness and how lucky I am to actually have two legs that enable me to stand, walk and run (although let’s be real, I don’t often do that.) To someone without legs or the ability to use them, those pesky, superficial veins wouldn’t be of concern at all. They would be nothing but grateful for two functional legs, right? Like me, is there some pesky little thing you are hiding that to someone else would be a blessing? If so, I encourage you to think of it differently and step out and be liberated! See more

17.01.2022 I could insert client testimonials here, but I’d love to share with you what I feel a photoshoot with me is like and what it is I love about photographing you! As much as I am crazily driven to capture images of you, I have an even stronger desire to connect with you because personal connection and conversation is where I thrive. ... Having someone take your photo is a surprisingly intimate venture and it’s something I don’t take for granted when you entrust that venture to me. The connection starts from our very first conversation and continues to grow as we chat and exchange messages (sometimes we even meet before the shoot) about your business, your life, your thoughts and ideas, so by the time we actually get to the shoot, we already know stuff about each other. We have gotten over the initial ‘getting to know you’ kind of questions and it feels more like we are just friends hanging out and playing ‘photographer & model.’ Connection creates comfort and it’s in between those two feelings that beautiful images are created. And the connection doesn’t abruptly end once I deliver your images! I love to follow your journey long after our photoshoot. I become one of your sideline cheerleaders!
