09.01.2022 SELF CARE IS SO IMPORTANT! Here’s some tips: Physical exercise at least 20 30 mins a day and can be spread out throughout the day in 10 min intervals of walking, swimming, dancing, etc.... Diet Eat well, sensible eating Deal - with guilt, anger and resentment if you need help, see someone Seek a good support system You don’t need large numbers. Just a few people you can trust and one in particular that you can tell anything even if that’s your therapist Develop - a spirit of gratitude, generosity and service. Think about what you can do within your means for others. It’s so powerful in helping us stay positive and joyful Time for solitude and meditation. Every day is best but regularly will definitely help. Be well

04.01.2022 GUILTY OR NOT GUILTY! Are you struggling with 'False Guilt'? False guilt comes when other's peoples standards are violated such as: 1. those set by family i.e. not making the grades that a family member or other had expected you to or 2. those set by national culture i.e. only marrying a person of the same culture because it is expected of you by your countrymen. This produces condemnation and can make life miserable! Definitely something to get free of and talk about with a counsellor. Here to help :)

03.01.2022 The effects of the recent bushfires and the many related images we have seen over the past 2 months have been traumatic and devastating. There is tragedy, grief and loss on so many levels. Lives of both people and animals, homes, properties, livelihoods, landscapes and natural beauty, annual holidays, family time, familiar places, special places, just the part of the Australian Christmas season experience that is Summer fun, resting up and togetherness, and the list goes on. ...Or has this catastrophe made what was already a difficult season for you even harder? What is it for you? Have you talked about it? Have you talked about it with someone who valued your words and gave you the space you needed to feel heard and process your experience? Are you struggling with comprehending the loss, pain or suffering - yours or others, or the reality of it all? Or do you just need to talk more about it until you feel like it's enough. Don't hold it in. Don't push it down. Don't ignore it and tell yourself to "Get on with it." You're not alone. There are many of us here for you. You can talk to a counsellor. Just a simple phone call or email is all it takes to connect and arrange a time that suits you. We are ready to hear and ready to help through listening and support. I am one of many and can be reached at: 0407 963 993 [email protected] See more
