22.01.2022 Mummy moment #666666 - Following on from this morning's "sharting" episode - answer door to delivery driver. Still in my pjs, baby on hip trying to pull down top, other one between my legs trying to pull down pants. He looks at Oz peering out while I'm trying to sign the stupid machine thingy "how you doing little man?" Oz looks for a second & says "and you know (which is how he starts every conversation these days) sometimes its better to fart on the toilet than poop in your pants.... otherwise you might get poop on your nuts" driver just looked at me stunned! I had no response. I just quietly closed the door. He may still be out there processing that little gem of advice but I'm too scared to look!

20.01.2022 Ever feel like you just can't catch a break?! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT try this hack on carpet!! i blame the smiling assassin who has not slept through in her whole 7mths & still wakes up 3/4 times a night for my total brain fart in thinking this would work poor Oz was supposed to be having a day with the grandparents today so i thought "great, I'll try out the overlocker i got for Christmas that i still haven't taken out of the box!" Not 2 minutes later they're back. Oz h...as vomited all over him self & their lovely car. Que much cleaning of child, car, car seat etc so that vomit doesn't dry & set in this 40 degree heat . Grandparents leaves, sans Oz, & he seems to perk up. Boundless energy as per usual! Couple of hours later am on the loo with usual entourage sitting at the door (so nice to have a cheer squad) notice Oz has gone a bit pale. "You ok buddy?" "Nope..*ralph* " all over my bedroom carpet & my feet. Again que much cleaning of child & scraping grape chunks off carpet. Still not looking so good so i say "go into the bathroom if you think you might be sick", should have been more specific. He stood at the bathroom door & sprayed the entire bathroom! few minutes later all good again & bouncing off walls. I decide to try this stupid, mother trucking hack as i am noooo good with vomit or vomit smell & last time i tried suggested vinegar/bi carb combo the lounge smelled like a fish n chip shop for months (with slight vom tinge). I don't know why i thought was a good idea. Obviously when you mix coffee grounds with liquid you get brown derrrr! So now i have a sick monkey, a big brown stain on my carpet (although does not smell like vom!) & a car seat full of ants. Yeah my other bright idea was "just hose it, it will dry in this heat!" Didn't take into account a load of squashed raisins under the cover that the ants just loved!! So enough of my rant! I hope your day was better than mine, or if not that tomorrow will be. On the bright side, thankful for leather car seats in the grandparents car, hydralight, that the second vom did not land on the baby, that his last vom made it into the bowl..... & that the blessed cool change that is FINALLY coming through! maybe I'll get some sleep tonight....ha!

16.01.2022 I wish! Certainly the weather for it in Sydney driving us all a little bonkers! I've made paper roads, cubby houses, done 101 puzzles. Any other bright ideas for 4yr old with energy of a spider monkey & the attention span of a goldfish ?

16.01.2022 Hi! Its been a while! Hope you are well. I've had to take some time out to regroup & get my head together. Between baby that doesn't like to sleep & would not take bottle, a few bouts of sickness, 4yr old with boundless energy & the bloody heat over summer, i kind of lost my "sewjo" for a while (& nearly my mind as well). I thought bub no.2 would be easy "i know what I'm doing this time" but i was so so wrong. She is a completely different animal to her brother & its been a s...teep learning curve all over again! And now I'm staring down the barrel of returning to work in just a few short weeks too. Which is the reason this little monkey & i are heading into the city today! But we seem to be turning a corner of late, although i won't get too cocky yet. Sleep is improving & bottle as well (although that seems to brought about some separation issues) but i am feeling slightly more like myself. Soooo its time to make hay (or bibs!) while the sun of maternity leave still shines! I'm excited to be showing you some new fabrics soon as well as some crochet projects (yes even on 2 hours sleep i still can't sit completely still haha). I had so many plans for maternity leave including getting website but sometimes life gets in the way of these plans & I've learned you just have to ride it out. They're only so little once so enjoy the cuddles, endure the sleep deprivation & look after yourself first. The rest can wait xx See more

12.01.2022 I have been saving some bits of sold out fabrics for 2 friends who i knew would appreciate them & sooo stoked i finally get to make them for them! These are a mix of old & new for a very special 8 week old little lady i had the pleasure of lots of cuddles from this week

11.01.2022 This just doesn't get old! They baby casually wheeling itself in slays me and poor mum haha! i think every parent has been there trying to make an important call with children around, they just know! At least not on national tv though!!

09.01.2022 This is a very different project i made over summer. I've never made a dreamcatcher before but it was fun & quite pleased with the results. The web is crochetted wool & the drops are a nixture of lace, beads, wool, robbon & twine. I made it for a special friend's blessingway/baby shower that we held. We asked guests to bring a bead, feather or shell that held some meaning to them to be attached as a keepsake for bub's room. As part of the celebrations we went around in a circle & stated why we'd chosen this particular item or just a special wish for mum & bubs. It was really beautiful (& emotional ) part of the day. I will post pics of the completed piece soon x

07.01.2022 Happy new year folks! Things have been a bit quiet lately as this little kitty doesn't like to sleep but i will be back with new designs & new fabrics in 2017! Xx

07.01.2022 Mummy moment #97654 - multi tasking feeding bubs & myself, one for her one for me. All going well until accidently feed myself a spoonful of her mashed nana & yogurt. Not a great mix with reheated Chinese take away! lucky it wasn't other way round!!
