25.01.2022 YOU HOLD THE POWER TO CHOOSE NOW Something I wish I had realised earlier... The unconscious beliefs about our life, how it should look like, what's possible for us, how (un)worthy we are... I grew up with a single parent. My mum was a hard-working woman (still alive and kicking, but finally retired ) - a nurse , now get this in the SAME hospital her WHOLE working life! Can you imagine The same job at the same place. Pho Laif! ... (Please if you're reading this and are over 30 and have had the same job so far, pls comment below to let us know unicorns still exist! ) Something, I, can not fathom now! But until my late 30s, I never thought owning a business was possible for me either. I didn't feel smart enough, wealthy enough, educated enough, brave enough...you name it. Even after I travelled the world on my own, immigrated to Australia , became bi-lingual, became successful... READY? waitress ~ digital producer ~ marketing & CRM manager ~ communications manager ~ waste education officer ~ personal trainer ~ group fitness instructor ~ yoga teacher... gosh no wonder my mum thinks I'm an adopted nutcase. (I'm kidding, she's very proud of me, just doesn't know WTH I'm doing here.) I guess my point is, people can CHANGE their minds and so can You! It takes some work to discover the unconscious beliefs buried under years of blisfull ignorance. I'm still working on it. Meditation and mindfulness help. I also read a lot of books. Slowly I'm starting to believe that my life is just my life to live. And it is easier to just be ME. What you focus on grows. Good or bad. So believe in yourself and let yourself grow. Do what you love and what you're passionate about NOW. Even if that means changing a job a gazillion times. You are WORTHY and you have GIFTS you have not discovered YET! Get discovering! 15.01.2022 VENUE WASTE AUDIT So a couple of weeks ago we did a Waste Audit in a small bar in Fremantle. (Strange Company) A waste audit is a method for analyzing an organisation's waste.... The goal was to discover what types and quantities of waste (paper, cardboard, plastics, food etc.) the venue produce and where they have space for improvement. The findings were surprising as a staff member accidentally contaminated one recycling bin with an old plant pot full of soil. Waste audits are fun and engaging way to educate your staff about sustainability and recycling.
