05.01.2022 [ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ] From The President's Donvale Football Club (Junior & Senior)... Donvale Football Club PO Box 1383 Mitcham North Vic 3132 18/3/2020 Dear Valued Players and Donvale Families, During these unprecedented times both Tony and I wanted to assure you all that both the Senior and Junior Clubs are working to get ready for the 2020 in whatever format it is held this season. We have been informed that at this stage the Senior teams will start their season on the 2nd of May and the Junior Boys and Girls will start on the 3rd of May. Our Auskick program has been paused until the 31st of May and we will keep you updated on any further developments on this as well. Both clubs fully support the EFNL and AFL and the decisions that they are making in the best interests of the community, and we are relying on the advice they receive from the relevant Government and health departments for guidance during this time. Both Donvale Football Clubs also want what is best for all of our players and their families, your health and wellbeing is the most important thing at this time. We will be keeping everyone informed of any developments from the AFL and EFNL as they come to us and as we have found, things can change quickly. We are hoping that training will be able to recommence by mid-April, but until it does we encourage you all to work individually on maintaining your own fitness for the season ahead. You have all worked hard over the preseason and to see so many senior and junior players training on Wednesday evenings has been fantastic, so keep it up and stay prepared for the season ahead, and we will advise you all on when training will recommence. Unfortunately we will also have to postpone our planned Club Family Day that was planned on the 5th of April. In the best interests of everyone’s health and wellbeing, we believe this is the best action we can take at this time. We will also not be receiving our order of playing shorts in time for the 5th of April, so will defer it and our jumper presentations to the junior teams to another day before the season starts. This is something that as a club we have never had to deal with before, all other sporting organisations and communities are in the same position. We will continue to follow the directions that the AFL and EFNL have put in place, and our priority is to maintain the health and safety of our players and families. We would also like to thank the dedication of all Coaches, Team Managers and Committee members who volunteer their time to keep our clubs running. We are all looking forward to getting the season underway when it is safe to do so, and once again it is important that our players are prepared for when this happens. Keep Safe. Kind Regards Adrian Daniels | Donvale Junior President Tony Pinwill | Donvale Senior President
