21.01.2022 We have some AWESOME school captains here at Donvale! This week, Bani, Lucas, Riley and Emily took time out of their busy schedules to visit our F-4 classes via Webex. The little kids were so excited to see their faces, and all the teachers were so impressed with their maturity and enthusiasm. Well done captains, we are so proud of you!

19.01.2022 This Term for our Science topic 'Materials and their Properties', the Foundation students were given the task to design and build a shelter for an animal. The shelters had to be waterproof, comfortable and strong. It is so great to see all of the different interpretations of this! We loved watching the students test their shelters too. Here are some of the fantastic creations!
17.01.2022 It was lots of fun across the school celebrating Donvale Book Week! Here are some highlights from the Foundation area of the children in their costumes and their Art activity, where they drew/made their favourite book character!
16.01.2022 Our Grade 5/6s had a go at some yoga for Wellbeing Wednesday today! Great moves kids!
15.01.2022 Lots of students in 1/2 have been enjoying the ‘Thursday Thinkers’ science experiments. The students are required to research a science experiment, hypothesise, write up a procedure, conduct their experiment and record their observations. It has brought lots of excitement and curiosity amongst the students during remote and flexible learning.
14.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago, our grade 1/2 students wrote letters to health care workers thanking them for the wonderful work they are doing during these difficult times. Their letters were sent to the Alfred Hospital and were warmly received. We are so proud of all the work our 1/2 students put into writing and presenting their beautiful letters.
14.01.2022 BOOK WEEK - This week we are celebrating book week. Today the 1/2 students listened to a shortlisted story called ‘One Runaway Rabbit’ by David Metzenthen. After reading, they were given the opportunity to make sock bunny rabbits as a fun craft task. We saw lots of really cute and creative bunnies!

Our students will remember the host, Martin Heppell, who came to our school in 2019 to teach us about the importance of gratitude, empathy and mindfulness. ...
