06.01.2022 This photo shows some splashback lighting I installed in a kitchen. The 'mock downlight' on the right is actually a touch pad to turn the real ones on/off.

03.01.2022 One of the first things I learned as a Dad was that whatever you do, don't supercharge your kids at bedtime with a bright light! Put in a nice feature light with a dimmer switch, and have it down low when you're putting them to bed. Disco balls are for the rumpus room, not the kiddies room (in my case, at least).
