17.01.2022 Shedders - please read the following. It was on the VMSA facebook page. Gary Public Sheds Reopening June 1st Can my men’s shed now reopen? Yes, provided there is no more than 20 people in each separate space, in addition to those required to operate the facility and density requirements (one person per four square metres) are complied with.... Recommendations. Sheds should take the first day back to take care of planning, policies and procedures for the safe reopening of sheds. Careful attention should be directed to equipment and tools to make sure they are safe to use. It is that each Shed appoint a Hygiene Officer to monitor the Shed hygiene practices and ensure that these duties are undertaken before the Shed opens and during the operation of the Shed. Sheds will be required to have sanitisers at all entrances/exits to their Sheds and in the kitchen and toilet areas. Attendance registers are used when anyone accesses the shed. Sheds should note in their meeting minutes that they are reopening and record the actions that they plan to take to protect the Shedders in relation to hygiene and distancing. If a Shed does not fulfil the size required to accommodate their Shedders, up to 20 Shedders, (allowing one person four square metres), it is recommended that Sheds work out a roster to enable all Shedders to catch up with each other over a period of time. Sheds may wish to open more often than their past normal operating days and times. Sheds must follow the required hygiene duties laid out by Worksafe Victoria, including hand washing, hand sanitising and the cleaning of door handles, tools, work benches, switches, kitchen benches etc and that all dishes, cups, etc must be washed in very hot water and properly dried with a clean tea towel or a paper towel. For example, the tea towel at the end of each session must be taken away and properly washed before use again. If paper towels are used, then they must be put into a plastic bag which should be sealed at the end of the day and disposed of responsibly. It is the shed and its members responsibility to comply with safe opening requirements and to make yourselves as informed as possible. See more

Excellent job all round - the trains were well made from secondhand wood and finished with beautiful bright colours. Although John did much of the work at the DMShed or at home, the attached photos show him finishing them off at the Shepparton M.S. in Channel Rd.
