22.01.2022 Firefighter knocked at the heavenly gate His face was scarred and old He stood before the man of fate For admission to the fold... what have you done Saint Peter said., To gain admission here? I’ve been a fire fighter sir he said For many many years. The pearly gates swung open wide As Saint Peter toy chef the bell. Come in and choose your harp, my son You’re seen your share of hell. 05.01.2022 Today we fly our flags at half mast for it marks a year on from when our hearts broke with the loss of two of our volunteers from Horsley Park Rural Fire Brigade -Deputy Captain Geoffrey Keaton and firefighter Andrew O’Dwyer. Both two young dads who were tragically killed when a tree hit the fire truck they were in at Buxton, south-west of Sydney. Today, our members will take a moment for quiet reflection, to give thanks and remember them.
