25.01.2022 Its time to #stayathome and take responsibility to #flattenthecurve. All do-re-mi classes are on hold until further notice. Keep an eye out for special singing and story videos with Mrs Klowss to sing along to at home. ... One coming your way tomorrow!
24.01.2022 Here is a lovely song called "Oma and Opas song" for you to share with your little one. It was composed last week by Melbourne teacher and composer Jennifer Gillan. Her grandparents wanted a song they could sing to her children as they cant see each other in person at the moment. Thank you to Jenny for composing and sharing the special song. Barry and I hope you like it and it brings you comfort. Give your child a teddy to cuddle while they listen and sing along!

It begins at 8:45, your little ones would especially enjoy the first 30-45 minutes if you would like to attend!

14.01.2022 We dont get many opportunities out here to see live music or theatre that is engaging for our kids- unless we travel a long way and pay big dollars! I encourage you to take your kids along at every opportunity.... for example the upcoming Owl and the Pussycat show. So get out there with your little ones, teach them what it is to be a live audience member, and see the wonder on their faces.
14.01.2022 Get up and get moving at the Barnyard Dance! A story Barnyard Dance, by Sandra Boynton, read using the Novel Effect app for a soundscape.
14.01.2022 This statement expresses a wonderful sentiment explaining why ANY movement suggestion made by a toddler/child in a do-re-mi class is always accepted by the teacher! Sometimes we find ourselves performing the most intriguing actions that I could never have imagined!
14.01.2022 A beautiful story song to share right now. Even if youre feeling blue- singing can help you to feel happy!

10.01.2022 Sing to your babies
09.01.2022 Read this one! Long but worth it, especially if you are expecting or have little ones. My own personal experience is that all of my 4 babies became very familiar in utero with the choral music I was learning with my adult ensemble each pregnancy. To the point that immediately upon each of their births I could sing one of these songs and they would calm immediately! REMEMBER: it does not matter if you dont consider yourself a singer, the act of singing will help both YOU and your child!
