24.01.2022 Year 11/12 Hospitality classes were fortunate to have Murray Langfield come into class today to share his experience with coffee blending and roasting. This afternoon we used some of Murray’s beans to make some delicious coffees.



23.01.2022 Year 10 put #onefootforward during their PDHPE lesson today. We managed to walk 3.4km. An amazing mental health initiative to follow and participate in. https://www.onefootforward.org.au/login/team#content... Thank you to all of those who have made donations. All funds raised will help The Black Dog Institute fund future research into mental health.

23.01.2022 Vaccination note reminder. Year 7 (year 8 catch up students) Vaccination packs with consent forms were handed out in last weeks year meetings. If you didn't receive a pack or have lost yours please see Ms McKell.... Please remember your consent forms need to be completed by a parent and returned to the school office by Monday 8th March. 21.01.2022 9/10 Food Technology students had an invention test using a basic bolognsise sauce. We saw a great variety of inventions including filled savoury crepes, gluten free lasagne using wraps instead of pasta, cheesy bolognaise pies and sausage rolls and stuffed capsicums.

Log the books you finish reading or listening to with your English teacher at the end of each week. (class novels count!) Running totals will be kept outside the English staff room. 16.01.2022 Yesterday the whole school participated in Dorrigo Day, a whole school teams event full of fun activities including sports, just dance, board games, a scavenger hunt, capture the flag and movies. The winning team were Yellow on 412 points. Yellow team won by accumulating participation points especially in the scavenger hunt. Well done to Levi and Team Yellow. Congratulations to Ms McKell and the SRC team for all of the organisation that went into the day, especially the great BBQ lunch! There was certainly lots of fun and interaction from all students in all years.

14.01.2022 Year 8 Geography have been working on their geographical skills this week. Using Kinetic Sand they have worked in teams to create landscapes from topographic maps.

14.01.2022 Ms Dawson will be participating in the "One Foot Forward" campaign during October to raise money for the Black Dog Institute. All money raised will go towards funding future research into mental health. She has created a Dorrigo High School Team and would love as many students and staff to join her. 14.01.2022 Today our 9/10 PASS class completed a spring clean of the school gym. The class is currently working on a PBL task to upgrade the school gym. We hope to have the gym up and running by the end of term 1 next year for all student to enjoy.

13.01.2022 Year 7 Indonesian class enjoyed cooking Nasi Goreng with a watermelon and mint juice on Monday. They have been studying different Indonesian cuisine and now they’ve had the chance to cook and eat their own.

12.01.2022 Today Ms Dawson's year 10 PDHPE class completed a 3km walk in support of the #onefootforward campaign. Year 10 are currently developing their own mental health awareness campaigns during their theory lessons. We can't wait to share some of their campaign ideas once finished.

02.01.2022 Year 7 Purple produced a great selection of ANZAC biscuits this morning.

02.01.2022 Yesterday saw the culmination of our lunchtime sporting competition. Winners were the senior boys team, the Chiefs. The Reds put up an admirable performance but were overpowered by the bigger, more experienced Chiefs. Congratulations to Mr Wadick for putting in so much time organising such a great competition. As you can see the spectators were kept on the edge of their seats watching the action.
