25.01.2022 I’ve been away for 2 months working and found the time to head back home quickly to check out the calves. Still stoked with the shape and length of R4, I think he may be something special and at this stage pending Sydney 2021 he will be making an appearance. Pictured at spot on 5 months old.

24.01.2022 Dorroughby First Class off to his new home this week. Congrats to the local buyers, I’m sure he will do a great job in adding softness and carcass to your herd. Pictured at 17 months. Very much like his sire A&W 15R

24.01.2022 Another great flush Racked up for Dorroughby Ana Q1 - Flushing 11 embryos to Dangit Matters. We also flushed 5 Grade 1 embryos out of Dorroughby Q12 which we were Stoked with. She is the only Daughter out of Molly a magnificent cow that Tania Paget owned that is now unfortunately deceased. Once again thanks to Udo Mahne - it was a mission but we were able to get you over the border and commonsense finally prevailed. On that note, a huge thank-you to Tom Missingham (Dad) who called one of his many thousand contacts he’s had over the years to get this escalated to David Littleprouds office who then called on the premiers office to approve Udos border pass. Many sleepless nights, now we just wait to see how many stick and hopefully for the promised Spring rains!

23.01.2022 Very pleased that we (Dorroughby Park Speckles and Pinnacle Park Speckles) managed to get 3 out of 4 pregnancies from these Codiak Putnam / Moovin Zpotz Zola em...bryos. Now for the long wait to see the calves on the ground. Many Thanks BeefMark Breeding Centre and Udo Mahne from Embryo-Life, as well as Wattle Grove for offering us the opportunity to purchase the embryos. So very excited for the future! See more

22.01.2022 Thanks all of our followers who shared yesterday’s post about our heifer. Unfortunately she’s still missing, and we have contacted the relevant authorities. It’s Frustrating going to the lengths you do with embryo calves to get the finished result then for this to happen. Thanks again.

19.01.2022 A few of our Q Drop heifers.

19.01.2022 Had some retail therapy this morning. In conjunction with Dorroughby Speckle Parks, pleased to have been able to purchase 2 x PTIC cows in Canada. Siblings Rem...in's Jewel 63A and Remin's Jewel 83A. Many thanks to Landon at Calico Creek for his assistance with this whole journey. Looking forward to utilising these genetics in the future. 17.01.2022 Stoked to announce that these two full brothers are going to their new paddocks, both purchased by first time Speckle Park buyers around the Toowoomba region. They were from our first crop of calves and will put quality calves on the ground for their new owners. Once again, thanks for your support and we will be keeping a close eye on their progeny.

16.01.2022 Thanks to this little minx, Dorroughby Tinkerbelle (DPS Q1) we had an amazing day of flushing and implanting with the one and only Udo from Embryo-Life. 8 grade 1’s, 2 Grade 2’s and 1 Grade 3 embryo all freshly implanted. To make it even more satisfying was the powerhouse combination to Underhill All Out. This was her first flush as a 16 month old heifer, so it’s safe to say she will be a valuable Breeder to our herd! Fingers crossed now for a great stick rate.

16.01.2022 Photo day today at Dorroughby Speckle Park. First up, our 3-4 week old R calves. AAA L5 (Destiny) x El Guapo

15.01.2022 This my friends , is why we love Speckle Park so much!! Purebred Speckle Park Steer Just over 12 months old when processed. Grain finished only 76 days. Never o...n a grain bin! Curfewed liveweight of 434 kgs and hanging weight of 242. Just under 56% (55.9%) Succulent, tender and nicely marbled, full of flavour and juicy. Even marbling in the silverside and Osso Bucco etc. The butcher wanted to buy the meat back for himself! But we needed the meat as our freezer was nearly empty (which is why he was processed young and not how I would have normally finished a beast off) Needless to say we had an incredible tasting Christmas Eve dinner last night. Apologies for the not great photos, but we had meat to pack away, so I just took these hurried snaps. Taste Sensation!!! Speckle Park Beef..... Many Thanks to Dorroughby Stockfeeds for their finishing grain... fantastic results See more

12.01.2022 Finally a reasonable fall on the eastern downs, a wonderful 18mm, with more forecast over the next week! After a promising start to the year, the taps turned off around the same time as our Premier shut the border - coincidence?? Plus a photo of a little El Guapo Bull x AAA Unique Destiny Bull at 2 months old just for good measure. I hope everyone needing rain gets some decent falls over the next few months.

12.01.2022 Guys can you please share this around. We’ve searched high and low in what is a small paddock near Westbrook to find this little embryo calf born last Thursday. There’s no evidence of smell or bird life around to suggest she has died and the mother is bagged up with milk, and no evidence of wild dogs, so our only conclusion is she’s been taken over the weekend. I’d like to have thought that wouldn’t be the case but that’s all we can think of. Reward offered for information and or safe return of her.

12.01.2022 Great results today considering what the weather has thrown at us over the past few weeks. We flushed 1 cow and 3 heifers, going in with low expectations with 2 heatwaves in the last week and continuing dry conditions. Our cow (SPS J6) was the one I was expecting to have the best results, she’s in great condition, has been on an oats paddock for the last 3 months and has flushed ok before. She flunked out completely with 7 unfertilised or dead embryos. Our one 18 month old ...heifer, DPS Q18 (OMG daughter) and two 15 month old heifer DPS 23 & 24 (both CNE daughters) returned 27 embryos between them (majority Grade 1’s) and had been on our Dorroughby Stockfeeds Ration formulated by our nutritionist for our flushes. To say we are stoked is an understatement, and special thanks always goes to the great Udo Mahne, who is always an encyclopaedia of information. To top it off, we transferred 42 embryos into our recips for our final program of the year. See more

11.01.2022 Some of the steers on Auctions Plus Tomorrow. Lot 167 - average weight 295kg.

10.01.2022 6-6.5 month R calves. Once the winter coat comes off them and hopefully Spring rains we will have a better idea of what we are sending to Sydney 2021

09.01.2022 Really happy with the CNE bulls. We have these two currently plus another 6 pending registration. Both at 14 months old.

05.01.2022 Our 2 PTIC cows in Canada. Owned in partnership with Dorroughby Park Speckles. Both are 7yo and are of outcross genetics to most and are due to calve April/May... 2021. They will be flushed August/September to outcross genetics sires in an effort to widen the gene pool here in Australia. The speckled cow is Remin's Jewel 63A and the leopard is Remin's Jewel 83A. Pictured after a 1000 klms trip across Canada. Pedigrees in comments See more

04.01.2022 Our first investment in Canada! Thanks to Tania from Pinnacle Speckle Park and Landon from Calico Creek for their tireless effort in making this happen! Looking forward to the future with these girls.
