Leading our Facebook community is Helen, an active baby boomer who is challenging herself and others to stay active by walking 10,000 steps a day with her Medicines on the Go pedometer. She wants to increase her fitness so that she can stay active and healthy well into the future. To follow Helen's journey or get invoved in our community , simply like us at www.medicinesonthego.com

18.01.2022 THE Australian Financial Review has honoured APHS Managing Partner Cathie Reid by including her in the publication’s list of top 100 Women of Influence in the B...usiness Entrepreneur category. Reid, pictured right, leads the APHS Group which has grown into one of Australia’s largest suppliers of pharmaceutical and clinical services for the hospital, oncology, aged care and community pharmacy sectors. My inclusion in this list is a testament to the important role pharmacists play in delivering quality healthcare and their ability to make a substantial impact on the way our community are cared for Reid said. Reid was also the Telstra Women’s Business Owner of the Year for 2011 and received the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement from Monash University. Several years ago, Ms Reid and the APHS Advisory Board put in place a strategy to diversify from a pharmacy to a national healthcare business with three arms each with their own focus. The AFR 100 Women of Influence will be celebrated at an event in Sydney this Thursday 17 October, with a single winner of each category announced on the day. See more

14.01.2022 myDoseAid to make DAA ordering a breeze Ordering dose administration aids (DAAs) will soon be easier than ever for Fred users, with the release of DoseAid’s exclusive new ordering software. Developed by PractiCare, a leading supplier of medication management system solutions, myDoseAid integrates seamlessly with Fred Dispense.... National Manager of DoseAid Seth Grantley said the team was looking forward to introducing its customers to myDoseAid. Now that our software is compatible with Fred Dispense, customers will be better placed to satisfy increased demand for DAAs and leverage their value for the benefit of their patients and their business, Mr Grantley said. Our customers asked for an easy-to-use system that would help improve efficiencies and in store workflow and we wanted to make sure we delivered. We are currently working on integrating myDoseAid with other dispense systems, so that all DoseAid customers can enjoy the benefits it brings. myDoseAid offers a range of new features including bulk substitutions, in-built signing sheets and reports. Fred Dispense users also have access to Quick Dispense an easy way to quickly dispense scripts. myDoseAid’s new Quick Dispense module alone will save us between four and six hours a week in labour. It’s highly intuitive and easy-to-use, so the learning curve is slight and the benefits are considerable, said John Sullivan, owner of Blooms the Chemist Miller in NSW.
