21.01.2022 Education is key to understanding. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn a little more about what is happening with their children or others regarding ASD.

15.01.2022 Give yourselves a big pat on the back! Happy school holidays to our families We hope you’ve already felt a little bit relief with having the pressure of school no longer lingering
14.01.2022 HELLO FAMILIES! We know we are a bit late, but WELCOME TO 2021! After the year that was 2020, we hope everyone had a nice break over Christmas before the start of term. We at DOTS Kids hope every child and their families are settling into the school term nicely. ... The term is flying by and we are in full swing here at the clinic. This year we farewelled our administrative superstar Sue and two of our AMAZING therapists Britt and Kim. You are all dearly missed and left big shoes to fill. We welcome Danielle (our new admin superhuman) and OT Lauren (aka Loz). We look forward to spending more time with you all to smash goals and have a heap load of fun as we always do!
13.01.2022 Remember how tough it was to tie your shoe laces, eat with a knife and fork or to get your arm through that long sleeved shirt for the first time? Remember how you struggled, yet persisted and now it’s fully automatic and you don’t think about every movement you need to control your body? Although it wasn’t easy, if we didn’t achieve it the first time we kept persisting until we got it It’s important for our kids (whether they have a disability or not) to make mistakes, learn from these, persist, adapt and grow into independent, amazing and skilled adults in their own unique ways
11.01.2022 Dear Dots Kids families As you may be aware, QLD Health has set new guidelines for their health professionals / health workers and for visitors to health sites. While we are not a QLD Health facility, we feel that their guidelines are offering best practice and will adhere to that advice.... As a result, we will be commencing the use of masks / face shields during therapy and for our reception staff. As per the guidelines, we ask that parents who would like to wait inside the clinic or attend therapy sessions wear a mask. If you arrive to the clinic without a mask, we will be asking you to wait outside. Please remember that we only allow 2 adults in the waiting room at all times. We ask that you assist us in this to keep everyone safe While we take the COVID situation very seriously, we will slowly introduce this change to enable everyone to get organised. Obviously, if you or your child have any cold or flu like symptoms please do not come into the clinic. Call admin to organise a telehealth session or to cancel the appointment. Please help us in keeping our staff, parents and children safe and healthy
11.01.2022 It’s day 3 of OT week, and in line with this years theme it’s important to highlight how important self care is. Our team was lucky enough to recently spend ...a weekend together relaxing, recovering and reflecting on what has been a tough year for all! Remember to take time out for yourself and stay as healthy mentally and physically as you can as we near the end of 2020 See more
08.01.2022 Something our parents can use if you’re having challenges setting the boundaries for screen time

03.01.2022 This may be helpful for some of our families whose children are struggling with toileting challenges
03.01.2022 With therapists, admin and parents being required to use a face mask when in the clinic, this may be a handy little social story to read to your kiddos before they come in https://drive.google.com//1OQzrXvSjvh0Kgz42md7V3u1FF9/view
02.01.2022 HAPPY FRIDAY! As we come to the end of a crazy year, we are starting to see our children’s energy levels decline. Remember that our amazing staff (both therapists and admin) are here to support you and your children through the good and not so easy times.
