25.01.2022 Opportunity for girls in years 6-10 ...

24.01.2022 BIG WEEKEND It’s a big weekend with the majority of our juniors starting cricket this weekend Remember: each player requires their own helmet and inner gloves to use with shared equipment. Tip: if you can not locate cricket inners, check out the $2 shops for cotton gloves.... Managers and Coaches: our very clever volunteers Jenene and Darren have created a ‘Batting Order Randonizer’ which is AMAZING. It will be loaded onto the Club website later today. Congratulations everyone for getting our teams out on the pitch this weekend, all the best for an exciting, fun season. http://dcjcc.wa.cricket.com.au/home.aspx?

07.01.2022 Our U10 Green team had the amazing opportunity to play at the WACA today. This opportunity came about thanks to Mark Sanders who organised the fixture to be in line with the WACA vision of being a valued community venue and as part of this the WACA offered multiple Stage 1 junior format games being played on the outfield (grass pitch) at the same time. Coach of DCJCC U10 Green, Matt Hunt, stated that the "Kids had a ball and it was really well organised and managed by the WA...CA. So kudos to them!." Many thanks to Mark and the WACA for giving us this opportunity, one that the kids will never forget. (Photos courtesy of Matt Hunt). http://dcjcc.wa.cricket.com.au/pageitem.aspx

07.01.2022 Former DCJCC player in the Record Books Former Doubleview Carine Junior cricketer Marcus Harris wrote himself into the Sheffield Shield record books when he and Will Pucovski broke the 30-year record held by Mark Waugh and Steve Waugh for the highest partnership in Sheffield Shield history as their monumental opening stand for Victoria extended to 486 on the third day against South Australia. https://www.espncricinfo.com//marcus-harris-pucovski-set-n... Marcus Harris played for the DCJCC back in the starting phase of his career and his father Kim also coached the Doubleview Carine senior club for a few years. One of our current junior players, Ryan Sercombe was lucky enough to meet Marcus during a chance encounter in November, 2019. Marcus walked through the tunnel at Optus Stadium to train ahead of the 2019 international game Australia A vs Pakistan game. He saw Ryan wearing his club shirt which Marcus recognised, shouted "Bulldog" with his hands outstretched to Ryan. He then chatted 1-on-1 with him for about 20 minutes. All the best for the rest of your career Marcus (and Ryan) from all of us here at the DCJCC.

07.01.2022 Congratulations to our One Day 3 side who finished top of the table and were declared PREMIERS for the 2019/20 season! The boys, lead by Ben Carey, were dominant all year, losing just two games throughout the season. Whilst it isnt how the boys would have liked to have won, the Club is very proud of their achievements over the season. A special mention to Captain Ben Carey, who also won the One Day 3 Competition batting average, with an average of 54.56. ... Well done lads.
