25.01.2022 Wise words from the late Robin Williams. You'll be missed!
23.01.2022 Happy weekend everyone!
22.01.2022 Thank you everyone for your words of support over the last few days. We already knew that there was strong support for this Market in Doubleview but this has become more evident since the cancellation of the application. One of the Councillors has been in contact with us and understands all your strong feelings about the cancellation, as they have been following this Facebook page. The Department of Education is the main party now to get the application moving forward again b...ut City of Stirling will be the final decision maker on the future of the Market. At the moment all Farmers Markets are under review in Perth and viability in being held within School Grounds - this is why there is a reluctance of movement with Department of Education. We have been in talks with the Education Department and this review is taking place this month - so with all fingers crossed the application should be reactivated ASAP. City of Stirling did not want to keep the application open without the final support for the Department. All updates on the Market will keep coming through on this page. Thanks, AP
19.01.2022 Some wise words from one of our followers!
18.01.2022 Got 15 minutes to spare today?
17.01.2022 Support local business!
17.01.2022 *** UPDATE *** City of Stirling has advised us that all letters submitted during the consultation period have now been counted and read. 296 letters of SUPPORT... 45 letters of objection Thank you everyone who submitted a letter of support to the Council. While the objection letters will always sing louder, the Council is now very aware about how much support there is for a community market in Doubleview. At the moment the Council is reviewing all items raised in the letters. Their main items of concern are the impact on current amenities and surrounding land use. Thank you again and again for all your support! AP
17.01.2022 UPDATE on approval... City of Stirling have referred the Market application to the WA Planning Commission for their comment and recommendations on the development. The application will be assessed and a decision issued within 60 days. ... Next hurdle will also be Department of Education. Onwards and upwards... positive thinking! Keep supporting and sharing please. Thanks, AP
14.01.2022 5 LIKES away from 600 - Thank you for all the support!

09.01.2022 CANCEL OF APPLICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT There have been some unfortunate developments and setbacks with Doubleview Community Market over the last two days. The City of Stirling advised us that they wish to cancel the application for the development until relevant documents could be provided to them from the Education Department.... The Education Department is the final hurdle in getting the application approved. We are very unhappy with the decision and in the manner in which City of Stirling has handled this application. The council has not acted with a timely fashion in this application and refuses to meet with us to discuss the application any further at this point. We are now making contact with the Councillors within the City as well as the local member for Scarborough. The application will be activated again, once all documents are signed by the Education Department. I have been advised by the Department that this will be sometime in early October. The Doubleview Community Markers is still definitely in the pipelines and me being the person I am will ensure that every avenue is exhausted before I admit defeat! This application is not cancelled in my eyes and will be activated again ASAP! This is wonderful development for the community and we will not be hindered by the Council’s lack of action! Please keep following the page for more developments on the Market. Thank you again for all your support!! AP
03.01.2022 THANK YOU everyone for your support! The consultation period has now ended. City of Stirling has called and advised us that over 300 letters were received with regards to feedback on the market. We are not sure on exact numbers of support and rejection; but hoping there were many more letters of support than rejection!... We will keep you updated on the developments of the application from here forward - it should be two weeks before we receive the next update from the Council. Thanks, AP
