24.01.2022 It's the perfect time to book your holiday in Stanley. Dovecote can accomodate up to six people. With plenty of living space and very comfortable beds, it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy day trips around the Circular Head area. Two night stay minimum, just $150 per double per night. 23.01.2022 Always more improvements to the already comfortable interior of Dovecotes. Now is the time to book for your summer holiday! We have loads of great reviews from guests who have stayed through Airbnb, and the house really is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy all that Stanley has to offer. Accommodating six people, rates are from $150 per night. So share this with your friends, and come on down to Stanley!!

21.01.2022 Saw the film last week. Heart breaking story, beautifully filmed. Would have been exciting to see more of our beautiful town in the film, but the New Zealand scenery is pretty stunning too. still good to see.

21.01.2022 Its taken around forty years but the old house is beginning to look like her youthful self again. Removing the cladding put on in the seventies is a huge job but now that we are on the path its lovely to see the original weatherboards and paintwork bring this beauty back to life. Hoping to make her gorgeous again by christmas.

18.01.2022 The repairs are underway, four hard workers and three hot days - removed the weatherboards, insulated and wrapped the wall, stripped and sanded then undercoated before reattaching the boards. Phew, what an effort! Still plenty more to do before reapplying the top coats but we think it is paying off, she's looking much happier. Many thanks for all the encouragement from the local passersby in Stanley. Two done, only a few more to go!!!

15.01.2022 Another 5 star review from yet another happy customer. "Terrific little house . It's true to its era with the furnishings and decorations all matching. The house is very Central in Stanley making it easier to walk to town and to the nut etc. Everything was functional even though some of it is old and it dates back 50 years to keep the theme. 03.01.2022 There is so much of history in the town of Stanley, Tasmania. Even on a not-so-sunny day like today there is still plenty of interest to see. From the Convict Barracks to Highfield House to convict built churches and houses around the town. All are within walking distance of Dovecotes, family accommodation in Stanley. Rates are very reasonable, message us for details.
