23.01.2022 A few more finished works...well done!
23.01.2022 We would like to put out a request for donations of gardening equipment, such as a Dutch hoe, netting, about 6 (CLEAN) large pots - good condition only, secateurs and seedling trays (punnets). If you are able to help please drop items in to the school office.
23.01.2022 Congratulations to Abbey-Jo, Natasha, Cooper, Blake and Ollie who made it into the District Team for the Inter High Athletics Carnival, held last Thursday at the Domain. They travelled up with their fearless leader Cookie on the GeCo bus, arriving a tad late for Cooper's Year 9 boys 1500m race. Not to worry - he ran the Year 10 race instead and came 6th! Blake blitzed the opposition with a 1st place in the Year 7 boys 100m and 200m. Abbey-Jo came 5th in the Year 8 girls Long Jump, and Natasha ran 1st in the Year 8 girls 100m. Ollie ran 3rd place in the Year 8 boys 400m and 5th place in the 800m. Well done to all of you, this is such a fantastic effort!

20.01.2022 A very different Presentation Day was held yesterday. Thankfully the weather was kind, and it was lovely to celebrate the achievements of our students. Well done everyone!
19.01.2022 What to do if your child has been exposed to harmful, upsetting, disturbing or offensive content on social media/internet The Office of the eSafety Commissioner’s website has a section specifically for parents which you are encouraged to visit for further information. It does include advice on supporting teenagers should they encounter content that is upsetting, disturbing or offensive. https://www.esafety.gov.au/parents The school can also offer support if your child has been exposed to such content.
17.01.2022 Anyone wishing to read the text that goes with the Athletics Carnival - Session 1 and 2? For some reason it is not appearing in the post (like the Tug-of-War is), but if you click on the title as shown below, you will be able to see, and read all - the wonders of Facebook

14.01.2022 Today some of our students joined community members at the Dover Cenotaph to lay a wreath and read a poem for Remembrance Day. The rest of the school gathered at the flags for the Last Post and a minutes silence.

12.01.2022 Today we are having our first high school transition day for students going into Year 7 in 2021. This involves not only our year 6 students, but students from other schools who will be enrolling here. I figured I might as well give them some idea of what to expect here. Mr E.
11.01.2022 Kym Lardner is an Australian author, illustrator and storyteller and our students thoroughly enjoyed a visit from him last week. They keenly participated in his original comical stories, drawing and songs as you can see from these photos.
10.01.2022 The P&F will be running a firewood raffle at the Dover Market on Sunday 20th September. The winner receives a ute load of dry firewood including delivery (as far as Geeveston). Tickets will be $5 and there are only one hundred available. Thank you Andrew Hogarth for both donating the wood, and offering to deliver - your generosity is greatly appreciated
09.01.2022 It's all about poo!!(or fertiliser to be correct ) The gardening group have collected liquid waste from the worm farm and have several 2L bottles for sale at $3 along with leucadendrons ($5) and small bunches of spring onions ($1). They are also wondering if anyone has any of those bags that chook pellets etc...come in? Students are gathering that all time favourite for the garden - horse poo (courtesy of Eddie and Zinc) and need something to put it in for sale.
08.01.2022 Di and Ken from Melanoma Tas gave a presentation to the high school students including information about what Melanoma is, how to reduce risk factors, how to check your skin, and also some personal stories of a Melanoma diagnosis. We would like to thank them both for visiting us, and working to educate people about this disease.
08.01.2022 Yet another beautiful MDT project finished - well done Amelia!
07.01.2022 During Term 3 the Prep to Year 4 students have been making placemats for their friends at the Esperance Multi Purpose Centre. They have been unable to visit due to Covid-19 restrictions and were very excited to finally be able to deliver them. The kids hid behind a hedge until the residents had entered the dining room. It was a great surprise for them to see the 3/4's "spring" up in the garden to sing them some songs, and show them their placemats through the windows. The Prep to Year 2's will be going up next week (the weather was a bit too unpredictable today! )
07.01.2022 We have a couple of bags of horse poo ($2) and bottles of worm wee (2L for $3) available. Proceeds go to the My Ed Gardening Group
05.01.2022 Thank you Emiliya, Sheldon and Lana for this wonderful experience.

01.01.2022 Harry and I celebrate Flanny Friday every week. We haven’t been able to make it catch on yet, but we’ll persevere. We understand that not everyone is as fashionable as we are. Mr E. Ooooh, I’m a lumberjack and I’m ok ...
