25.01.2022 Noah’s Arc, in French Avenue, Edithvale is flying along nicely! This is the first of four townhouse projects in our ‘Bayside Born Series’ to go into construction in 2020. Scaffolding came down earlier in the week, plaster is complete, stairs are going in and waterproofing is now underway. 22.01.2022 The Dovetail Team is bursting with excitement for Cameron, our Director, who has qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Nice later this year. Cameron earned one of the two qualification spots for his age group last Sunday when he competed in the Ironman 70.3 event in Geelong. Despite going into the race with a couple of injuries, Cameron was able to rally and finished 8th in 4 hours 35 minutes. We are so proud of all that he has already accomplished and can't wait to follow his journey in Nice, France!

We're also delighted that Peter Brown Architects has received a Commendation award for their design of Dovetail's project, The Belle Apartments. The Belle Apartments, under the Activity Areas property classification, was described by judges as being worthy of a commendation due to its strong presentation of a rhythmic arrangement of floating geometric elements, which result...ed in an approachable creative response that was entirely fitting of the local community’s context. However, as we all know, goals don’t just achieve themselves. An article from Psychology Today tackled goal accomplishment from the perspective of behavioural change and provided the following 10 tips: 1. First, state the big goal. 2 4. Break this down into long-term goals, then break each of these d...own to short-term goals, then break each of these down into specific baby-steps. 5. Set up your environment to make things easier. 6. Involve other people, even if you are an introvert. 7. Identify why your goal is important to you. 8. Make it a part of your identity and collect evidence to support this belief. 9. Make the behaviour more enticing with rewards. 10. Make the behaviour more habitual through routine. While these tips are more helpful for personal goals, the Dovetail Team will certainly be adapting them for our company goals too!
