18.01.2022 The first intake of prac students for Downs Driver Rehab. Thanks to these 3 lovely SCU students for their enthusiasm, and to Reben Mobility for their time showing their extensive range of driver modifications for the benefit of the next generation of OT's.

06.01.2022 Assessments involve an 'off road' assessment to screen physical, cognitive and visual function which takes approximately 90 minutes. Following this assessment an on-road assessment is conducted in a dual controlled vehicle with a qualified driving instructor accompanying us. The purpose of this test is to determine whether there is any negative impact of your medical condition, on your driving function. Based on the findings of these two assessments, a summary report with ...recommendations is provided to your treating Doctor. Combining the result of this assessment with their understanding of your longer term function, they determine the final outcome with regard to your license. This may include the provision of a Qld Transport approved medical certificate, if appropriate. You then need to take this medical certificate to QLD Transport so that your details can be updated and any conditions can be endorsed on your license. See more
