19.01.2022 Put simply, a seller's market is when prices increase with more people house hunting, and a buyer's market is when prices decrease and the market is less satura...ted. Due to COVID-19, the real estate industry came to a halt altogether, and has been up and down since March. Fortunately, Brisbane's property market is gradually recovering but despite this, house prices fell by 0.4% in June. Interestingly, Brisbane has been sitting in between the buyer's and seller's market for a while, but is likely to enter the seller's market if the COVID-19 cases remain consistently low. Properties are being snapped up quickly and more houses are for sale, but for a shorter amount of time. Properties in Sherwood and Graceville (4075) for example were only on the market for an average of 13 days and 28 days respectively in July. We recommend researching about high demand suburbs and where is best to buy in this current climate.

17.01.2022 Retreat, Nourish and Reset - The 2021 Colour Forecast. Locked down, confined to our homes and the postcodes we live in pretty much sums up 2020. Less physical interaction, increased digital usage and our home environment has shaped our mood and thinking hugely. The three major colour schemes for 2021 - named Retreat, Nourish and Reset - are a direct response to the major lifestyle trends observed globally, and are inspired by nature, that intend to soothe and nurture.... Retreat "Feels tranquil and sentimental, reminiscing tradition, whilst hinting at better times to come" Warm whites, brown-based neutrals and dusty blues Nourish "Allow for moments of stillness and quiet - an opportunity to reduce stress and digital fatigue." Soft neutrals, tan, soft olive and ochre Reset "Life may be slower, but there's joy to be had in a less frantic pace. We draw closer to family and our local community, building new connections with those around us." An uplifting collection of blue-green and energetic reds, offset with contrasting whites and neutrals Will you apply these new tones to your home in the New Year?

09.01.2022 Spring has sprung in Australia! This year has certainly been crazy, but we've just started a beautiful season, so there's no better time to make small, mood boosting changes in your home. It'll certainly help increase positivity and inspire optimism for the season ahead. We have a few tips for you on how to refresh your home ready for Spring:... Clean and clear A thorough clean is always satisfying and immediately helps your home feel refreshed and rejuvenated! Update plants and flowers Whether you include a pop of colour, or organic succulents, a little goes a long way and it adds a beautiful natural element to your home. Choose a new accent colour You can either completely change it up or just change the tones of your pillows, for example. If you have a lot of bright whites or greys, try accent colours such as blues, lilacs or pinks. And mustard, terracotta and forest greens are great accent colours for soft white and sandy tones. Introduce new scents There's nothing better than switching up the scents in your home to best suit the changing seasons! Scents that complement Spring include lavender, geranium, citrus and gardenia.

09.01.2022 Australia has ranked 19th across 56 countries after recording a 6.1% rise in house prices over the year to June. Out of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, considering Brisbane's continued strength in tackling COVID-19, it's likely to emerge in a very strong position for 2021. Experiencing an extended period of low price growth, Brisbane's affordability is the best capital city, side-by-side with Perth. ... The annual rankings were topped by Turkey, followed by Luxembourg, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland.

07.01.2022 Despite Brisbane's seemingly great response to COVID-19, a slowly improving property market and a rise in bargain properties for sale, this Spring selling season will certainly be different to 2019. Home listings typically surge across the city during September, but vendors are likely to trickle into the property market this year, instead of skyrocketing buying and selling activity. Expats and interstate buyers were particularly leading the charge coming into Spring, fuelled ...by a desire to live in an (almost) pandemic-free metropolis with well-priced homes and an outstanding lifestyle - something Sydney and Melbourne are currently missing. This may be something to consider if you're planning to buy especially - now might be prime time, as Brisbane becomes the place to be and may start to become an extremely competitive market as we head start the journey towards 2021.
