24.01.2022 I must say ... I agree with this! Flus, colds, "sickos" cost businesses big money at times. But it is a smaller cost if the "sickos" dont share the sickness around. #smallbusiness #sicko

23.01.2022 This is reaching a new low ... Watch out for this scam.

22.01.2022 Your uniqueness helps sell you. I stumbled across this page and loved it! They simply have fun creating Really Bad Portraits and people cant wait to see what they get! ... What crazy ideas do you have that you would love to sell?

22.01.2022 I realise things are a tad crazy at the moment so thought we could share some positivity and pay forward a bit of what we do. How about we share what we do and offer to pay forward something? If you are "not there yet" what can you offer to help another person? Do a shop? Cook a meal? Be a listening ear? ... (Even if it is something as simple as a free friendly chat where someone can learn from you and be lifted up a bit?) I am starting on online program shortly and would like to offer 10 free spots to people to learn how to: - Build a business online (idea, planning, finances & launch!) - How to build a website - How to market on Social Media - How to look after yourself (a bit of Self - Care and working in with life) whilst running a business. and more ... If you are interested please message me and all I ask is that you comment and share something to someone else too :) #payitforward #bepositive #smallbusiness

19.01.2022 Interesting conversations on Twitter this morning. What is an essential worker? If you are not in an industry that has been closed recently due to restrictions, are you in fact an essential worker? Apparently yes! ... #covid19 #smallbusiness

18.01.2022 Big changes are coming to Facebook on March 4th with regards to messaging your Facebook page subscribers. Who here relies on Messenger bots? What are your thoughts about automated messaging on Facebook (as a seller or customer)?... #facebook #socialmedia #marketing

17.01.2022 Who is here on Twitter? I am about to give my Twitter profile a good old kick up the bum and get using it again and would love to connect https://www.twitter.com/kateryantaylor

17.01.2022 #businesstip Are you open on Public Holidays? Monday is a Public Holiday in Western Australia so whilst my WA clients will be expecting me to be closed, many of my clients are in other states or overseas. So ... communicate! Yes, I am open! ... I will be having a bit of a break however so will be responding a couple times only that day. What about you? Are you open or closed? See more

17.01.2022 I have seen this on a few different pages now and totally agree! Lets support others in our communities to get back on their feet. And take it one step further ... ... if you are still working, why not pay it forwards? Buy a meal, book a room, get gift vouchers, but on behalf of someone else and put money into a small local business. It can be the difference between them surviving or not! #australianmade #supportlocal

15.01.2022 An opportunity for someone?

15.01.2022 People are in a bit of a cleaning frenzy at the moment. Remember to take care to not mix different cleaning products that could cause harm. Hot water and soap is still one of the best things to use and if you have eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil simply spray a diluted solution for disinfecting where needed after cleaning. ... Now keep watching as today is going to be an exciting day and you will see lots of changes and updates for all the amazing things happening in coming weeks :)

15.01.2022 #celebrateanyday I finally have my own "at home office". Anyone who works primarily from home understands how important this is. For me, it is about having a space that I can set up and have dedicated to my work and at the end of a work day have separate from other aspects of my life.

14.01.2022 With the bans for large events (500+ people) taking effect from Monday and people being told to self-isolate if they have any cold or flu symptoms - how is this impacting you (personally) and your business? How are you feeling?

12.01.2022 #throwbackthursday Have you seen some of the old adverts floating around the internet? Share the funniest ones you have seen.

12.01.2022 Have you ever wondered why there should be such a focus on actually talking to your customers and relationship marketing? I was setting up an advert for a client in a "difficult market" which has a huge amount of competitors in the local area (and some who are absolutely fantastic at Social Media marketing!) We had recently changed the language on the page and did this also in the advert. Speaking TO our customers rather than AT our customers. ... The difference was HUGE. The Organic (unpaid) reach of the post in a few hours is over 500 and the paid reach is showing a high level of engagement. This reach is higher than previous posts on the page. Whilst the paid advert is causing it to "get out there", it is targeting people who are then liking it, sharing it, clicking on it and increasing the reach in an organic (unpaid) manner. Paid advertising should be enhancing what works, not be the only thing that works. #facebookmarketing #downtoearthmarketing #smallbusiness Do you want to talk to me about your marketing so we can see what we can improve?

11.01.2022 A lot of people are getting confused by Jobkeeper. This week I have helped 4 different businesses "get the right information". In searching and assisting I have found some great and easy to follow resources:... Understanding who are Eligible Employees: https://www.ato.gov.au//jobk/employees/eligible-employees/ Bookeeping / How to Manage Jobkeeper & Wages / Allowances: (MYOB has done a great job with this and have some easy to follow examples) https://help.myob.com//COVID-19+wage+subsidy+%28JobKeeper% In the Great Southern Region there is also a really good Facebook Group to assist with your specific queries that can be found: https://www.facebook.com/groups/866406937189608/ This is managed by Levi Wheatcroft - Albany Accounting & Consulting

11.01.2022 I am taking part in the March against Cancer I would like to invite you to donate and I will be posting my progress towards my walking target. Please share and also feel free to join my fundraising team.... https://www.themarchcharge.com.au/fundraisers/kateryantaylor

09.01.2022 #marketingtips #smallbusiness #celebrate Did you know that this Saturday is Feb 29th? (Leap Year) In marketing this is a perfect opportunity to appeal to the romantics (or simply have a bit of fun). ... This is a clever Facebook post for a local restaurant & bar playing on the old saying that "the way to a mans heart is through his belly!" If you are any type of business that works with couples, food, accommodation, rings, wedding planning (or anything along these lines really!) then this is a day where you can use the "Leap Year" traditions to talk about your business.

07.01.2022 #motivationalmonday Be your own motivation. Stop waiting on others. Often we wait to be motivated by others. STOP... Be your own motivation. One of the "catch phrases" in Life Coaching is BE, DO, HAVE. You know what you want to have. You know what you need to do (and even go so far as to write out your goals step by step). What you need to do is also determine WHO YOU NEED TO BE. Now look at your goal and work back to who you are and what you need to be, using this as your motivation for change.

06.01.2022 It is great to see businesses getting back into the swing of things.

06.01.2022 NOTICE: All upcoming workshops will be changed to online shortly and ... we will be doing both extra workshops (to keep you busy) and doing extra for these so that people can access as a recording or LIVE. There will also be a couple of "weekly check ins" where people can simply connect so to help people help each other (and lessen any feelings of isolation). If more catch-ups and check-ins are needed we can do this as time goes on and I am happy for you to let me know.... Watch this space and reach out if you need to. You are not alone.

05.01.2022 A simple Work from Home tip - check the background of where you are recording!

05.01.2022 Now is the time to think "Outside the Box". How can you serve your customers in a way that works in with current COVID-19 restrictions?

04.01.2022 Wish this was in all areas, but what an amazing way to revive old memories whilst gaining new customers and showing that you have a bit of community spirit. Love it! #flashback #smallbusiness

03.01.2022 Interesting information about government assistance for small businesses. Check your facts before you spend! #smallbusiness

02.01.2022 #thinkoutsidethebox Many people are needing hand sanitizer to keep operating in business (hygiene at the door and counter) but realistically the supply is low ... Why not make some?

01.01.2022 Do you host Zoom meetings? Please read this before your next meeting. From 5 April, Zoom is enabling passwords on your meetings. Theyve also turned on Waiting Rooms. Theyre doing this because some muppets have been hacking into zoom calls and causing trouble.... If you get overwhelmed by detail do read through this slowly. There may be very little that you need to do. Passwords From now on any previously scheduled meetings, and all new meetings, will have passwords enabled. What you need to do now will depend on when you scheduled your meeting and how it was scheduled: 1. For previously scheduled meetings with your Personal Meeting ID, participants will be required to enter a password when they join or theyll need to be resent the meeting link with the newly embedded password. This password and updated invitation can be found in your Zoom account under Meetings, then Personal Meeting Room (tab at the top). 2. For previously scheduled meetings with a unique one-time meeting ID, there is no need to enter a password when joining or resend the invitation. These meetings will not be impacted. 3. For meetings previously scheduled with a calendar integration, youll need to resend the invitation or share the password with the participants. Invitations will not be automatically updated. 4. All newly scheduled meetings, regardless of using your Personal Meeting ID or a one-time meeting ID, will require a password. This password will be included in the invitation. If a participant manually enters the meeting ID, they will be prompted to enter the password. Waiting Rooms This feature is now turned on by default. You can turn it off if you want to by going into your Settings (this option is about three quarters of the way down). Having a Waiting Room is a handy feature as your guests sit in a virtual waiting room until youre ready to start the call. When you join the call youll see the number of guests in your waiting room in the Manage Participants icon in the tool bar at the bottom of your screen. Select Manage Participants to view the list of guests. Then you can either admit people one by one (by selecting the blue Admit button) or admit everyone at once (by selecting the Admit All option at the top right of your screen). Zoom has created resources to walk you through both of these functions. #smallbusiness #tip #zoom #webinar
