25.01.2022 NEW PROCEDURES Dear valued customers, due to the nation wide spread of Coronavirus and our fast changing Socialising rules, we have been forced to make a few changes. We have limited the customers to three in the shop at one time, its just a matter of looking before you enter.... Please do not enter the shop if you are sick or feeling unwell. Phone us on 49451261 to place an order and we will work something out to accommodate you. For any orders (especially large orders) please phone ahead to save you waiting in the shop for us to get it ready. Payment via card is preferred to limit the handling of cash and coins. We understand these are confusing times and we want to do what’s best to keep our wonderful customers safe and also our valued employees. Thank you all so much. Take care and stay healthy.

17.01.2022 Many times over the last few years, I have often posted urging people to support Local Businesses. Once again , I’m asking you to support your local businesses ...throughout the region. After Cyclone Debbie, I was fortunate to be able to use my position in Council to help push this issue through the media. This is different, Coronavirus is damaging not only Australian people’s health, but also the Economy of our whole country, not just the Whitsunday’s. No one knows how long this virus will last, it is already spreading at a rapid pace. Many individuals have lost their jobs and a lot more are looking at reduced hours in their place of employment. Unfortunately, we will see the closure of many businesses due to the uncertainty of the economy. I’ve been speaking to many business owners and their employees over the last few days... it certainly is a sad state of affairs. We are all in this together, we need to support each other as much as we can. Throughout the region, there are many specialised shops, we also have some wonderful quirky shops that are unique to our area. Let’s try and support these businesses as much as we can.... remember it’s these businesses that will one day be employing our young ones. 05.01.2022 How good is this. Today Gavin Cooper was in town at Graze Cafe. Shane , realising how big a fan my daughter Erin is of the Cowboys and Gavin Cooper. Shane quickly printed a photo of Gavin off his phone and went and got his autograph. I was in Brisbane with Erin who was visiting her doctors.... It certainly made mine and Erin’s day.
