10.01.2022 You might be forgiven for not spotting a new piece of community artwork in Downtown Caloundra while we all stayed at home and minded our health. Now that you are out and about again, make sure you take a stroll to the top of town to have a look at the new artwork produced by the very creative and talented artists from The Art Hub Sunshine Coast and Red Ink Rodeo. Funding for the mural was secured through an application to Sunshine Coast Councils' "Shopfront Improvement Incent...ive" and funded through the CBD Parking Fund. Location: 11 Bulcock Street, The Strand (mural is on Lamkin Laneway side). Share your pics with us once you find it :)

OCT 1-5 | VENUES will come alive with keen local talent ready to burst back onto stage in lieu of the Caloundra Music Festival this year. The music line-up features a long list of local performers, including Anna and Jordan, Hayden Hack, Mismo Tempo, Soula and 60 more. ... The festival will showcase local performers at venues including Drift Whispers Cocktail Bar & Lounge, Coffee Cat On Kings Beach, Caloundra RSL, Caloundra Power Boat Club, The Events Centre, Caloundra, and Twilight Markets Caloundra and even the iconic Strand. For fans of Russell Morris AM there will be a special up close and personal performance at The Events Centre on the Friday evening, to share his new album, Black and Blue Heart. For the long weekend (Oct 2-4), LUMINATE! a free three-night walk through festival will light up Caloundra between 6 and 10pm. Light installations will provide a new cultural experience for the Sunshine Coast, in conjunction with a special return of the Twilight Markets.
