Click below to know more about the start of Sherrie's new Toastmaster journey... ? I joined Toastmasters to improve my self-confidence, increase my inter-personal communication skills and my social networking abilities! ? I only joined Toastmasters at the beginning of October 2020 and have learnt quite a fair bit in that time. Toastmasters uses a module based learning strategy with different speech levels that you work through that helps me improve in stages. I enjoy that there are different types and styles of speeches and that the meetings follow a set structure. Speeches are evaluated the same night they are presented so I know immediately what I have done well and where I need to improve which is valuable to me to improve my public speaking skills. ? Watching the Humorous Speech Contest in October as there were some extremely witty and creative speeches that were very well written and presented.
