25.01.2022 We are delighted to announce that we have launched our first-ever Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). 21.01.2022 Long-standing Doxa Youth Foundation Cadetship Program Partner, Dennis Family Homes (DFC), have been supporting Doxa for nearly 20 years. Current Cadet, Ali Haidari, is studying a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) at RMIT University and is being mentored during his time at DFC by Marketing Manager, Melissa Munro. Melissa said: Having Ali within our Marketing team brings to Dennis Family Corporation up-to-date thoughts, processes and current best practice directly from the uni...versity sector, whilst also serving the important purpose of helping to introduce him to the world of business and everything that encompasses. From Alis perspective, Not only do I have Melissa as my trusted advisor who provide constructive and valuable feedback that helps me grow and tackle the challenges in the workplace at DFC, I also have a Doxa mentor who I touch base with on a regular basis, so I feel extremely supported in my cadetship. I am so grateful for the opportunity Doxa has provided me, he says.

21.01.2022 The Future Focus program provides an invaluable opportunity for students during one of the most developmentally challenging periods of their life. It allows them to access life and career skills, deep support and community connectedness from highly respected role models, professional icons and committed program staff outside of their usual networks and in an environment that is safe, open, non-judgmental and encouraging of participation, sharing and contribution. It is a privilege to be a part of the initiative." - Jo Parker from Heart Sparks is one of our valued facilitators for our Future Focus program. <3

20.01.2022 Our Malmsbury camp is a chance for city kids to experience the country. Father Joe Giacobbe For more info, please head to www.doxa.org.au, email us at [email protected] or phone 9046 8200

18.01.2022 Last Friday, our Doxa city camp kids got to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when the Hawthorn Football Club invited them to watch a training session! Many of the children who attend Doxa city camps are from rural areas in Victoria who have never been to the Melbourne city before. For some, it was their first time on a train and tram. Thanks Hawthorn Football Club for this amazing opportunity! The kids had such a fabulous time!

13.01.2022 Autumn is in the air which means that our Journey Program is back! Building teamwork skills, learning about the great outdoors and fostering connection to country and one another is what this program is all about. 12.01.2022 We work with some amazing facilitators across our programs. David Verdugo from Consciously Empowered is one of these people. "Over the past 18 months I have had the privilege of working with many Future focus groups running interactive activities that offer students opportunities to reflect on how they show up in life and the impact that it has on themselves and others. Each session is unique and what has always struck me the most is when students are given a safe space and a challenge, they always act courageously!"

10.01.2022 The Doxa Youth Foundation Cadetship program has been instrumental in helping me find what Im passionate about to help me reach my full potential in a field that drives me to be the best version of myself. From the vast array of mentors, to ongoing professional and personal development opportunities, I dont think I would be where I am without the support of my incredible sponsor company and the Cadetship team. - Jacque, Doxa Youth Foundation Cadet

09.01.2022 Congratulations to all our Cadets who were part of this years induction and graduation event. We wish you all the best! :-)

09.01.2022 Our Future Focus program is a game-changer. One of our regular facilitators, Jo Parker from Heart Sparks shares some of the benefits she sees in students: By providing workshop sessions to Years 7 and 8 in the program, I am gifted a unique opportunity to spend significant time with the Year 7 students in conversation about the concepts of personal leadership, confidence and self-esteem, then, the following year, working with the same student groups in Year 8 exploring respec...tful relationships, working with stress, boundaries and value-based decision making. The changes I witness in the students over my time working with them never ceases to amaze me. I witness them using their voice more, engaging in their communities both in and outside of school more readily, proudly encouraging their peers, taking leadership opportunities within their school, communicating more effectively and respectfully with others and confidently setting goals towards their future schooling and personal contributions. <3 See more
