05.01.2022 Magnetic Liquid! Ferrofluid is a ferrous nano-particle liquid that reacts in the presence of a magnetic field. The magnetic material in a ferrofluid isn't actually a liquid - it's a bunch of nano-sized (really, really tiny) particles suspended in a liquid. When the fluid is exposed to magnetic field the particles align magnetically with north and south poles and display amazing shapes, once the magnetic field is removed the fluid returns to its random alignments.
